Supply Chain Associate
Giga Energy manufactures and operates energy infrastructure. We are an international company with headquarters in Houston & Shanghai offering comprehensive product lines including electrical equipment, modular data centers, and power generation assets. In addition to our product lines, Giga operates off-grid and on-grid data centers in North and South America.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Associate to join our team, reporting to our Supply Chain Manager. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our supply chain processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, organizing production timelines, managing orders, and supporting various supply chain functions to maintain efficient operations. This is an exciting, customer facing position with direct oversight and impact. This role is based onsite in Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Management:
- Process and track purchase orders from initiation to delivery.
- Monitor and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve any issues related to order fulfillment.
- Consistently inform customers with timeline updates.
Supplier Coordination:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address any performance issues timely.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Coordinate shipping and delivery schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
- Track and report on delivery performance and address any delays or issues.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain and update supply chain databases and documentation.
- Prepare and analyze reports on inventory levels, order status, and supplier performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain operations.
- Coordinate regularly with international team in Asia to ensure SOP’s are being followed and production deadlines are met.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain management or a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Nice to have: Bilingual in Mandarin/Chinese
