Field Construction Coordinator
Why join Giga
- The Pace: We're building at a speed most companies talk about but never actually operate at. If you've been bored somewhere else, you won't be here.
- The Impact: Every person at Giga touches the work that matters. No layers, no waiting for approval chains. You'll see your fingerprints on what we ship.
- The Team: A team of operators defining the future of AI infrastructure. We recruit A-players from the most innovative companies in the world, and they choose Giga because the work here means more.
- The Moment: AI doesn't run without power, and that's us. Giga is the picks and shovels behind the AI revolution. This industry is about to explode, and you'll be in the room where it's already happening.
What you'll do
As Giga's Field Construction Coordinator, you'll be the connective tissue between planning and execution on our active construction sites. You'll spend your days in the field ensuring subcontractors have what they need, work is sequenced correctly, problems are resolved before they become delays, and information flows quickly between the office and the jobsite.
This is not an office role. You'll be onsite every day, walking the project, coordinating crews, documenting progress, identifying issues early, and helping our Superintendents and Project Managers keep work moving safely and efficiently.
You'll coordinate activities across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, low-voltage, and commissioning teams while ensuring equipment, materials, inspections, and subcontractors are where they need to be. If something is blocking progress, you're expected to identify it before anyone asks and drive it toward resolution.
As Giga scales nationally, you'll also help build standardized field coordination processes, reporting tools, and best practices that improve execution across every project we build.
Where you'll work
This is a full-time onsite position based at one of Giga's active construction projects.
Expect to spend the vast majority of your time walking the site, meeting with subcontractors, coordinating work activities, verifying progress, documenting issues, and supporting field operations.
Travel to other Giga project sites may be required periodically to support project mobilization, major equipment installations, commissioning, and project closeout.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day field coordination resource supporting Superintendents and Project Managers.
- Coordinate daily construction activities across multiple trades to maintain safe, efficient project execution.
- Walk the site throughout the day to monitor progress, identify conflicts, and proactively resolve field issues before they impact the schedule.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and equipment deliveries to maintain continuous workflow.
- Track installation progress against the project schedule and communicate potential impacts early.
- Verify work areas are ready before scheduled activities begin, including predecessor work completion, access, material availability, equipment readiness, and required inspections.
- Assist with planning and coordinating installation of modular data center skids, generators, transformers, switchgear, chillers, cable tray, structural steel, and other major equipment.
- Coordinate utility locates, concrete pours, crane activities, inspections, testing, commissioning support, and AHJ visits.
- Maintain daily field reports including photographs, manpower tracking, completed work quantities, weather conditions, and notable site activities.
- Track punch list items, field observations, RFIs, and action items through completion.
- Review construction drawings alongside field conditions and identify constructability concerns or coordination conflicts.
- Assist with maintaining project documentation including permits, inspection records, submittals, RFIs, and turnover documentation.
- Participate in daily planning meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and weekly scheduling reviews.
- Maintain close communication with Project Management, Superintendents, Safety, QA/QC, Procurement, Engineering, and Commissioning teams.
- Help develop standardized field coordination procedures, reporting templates, site logistics plans, and execution best practices that can be replicated across future Giga projects.
