The role
Glia is growing, and we are looking for passionate and driven people to join our Talent & People team. You will support the People Ops team by making sure everything runs smoothly in the Tartu office, you'll help to organize internal events and take part in various other initiatives and projects to keep Glianeers happy and excited to work here. This is a perfect opportunity if you would like to kick-start your career in People Operations.
What you'll do
Office:
- Work closely with our Global People Ops Team to oversee the functioning of the Tartu office and create an exceptional work environment (i.e keep our kitchens stocked, inventory management, regular maintenance of the office, improvements, etc)
- Lead equipment procurement and logistics operations for GreenIT initiatives, including inventory management and warehouse optimization.
- Liaise with facility management and service providers (i.e cleaning, security service, etc)
- Be the first point of contact for our people regarding office-related topics and external partners for establishing office procedures
- Be our work environment specialist in the Tartu office
Event management:
- Collaborate with our global People team in the USA and Tallinn to organize company-wide events
- Support our employer branding activities (i.e, ordering company merch, being our contact in Tartu for visitors, etc)
- Send and/or take care of other ad-hoc events, gifts, and swag
People topics:
- Supporting onboarding with several initiatives (i.e., by setting up desks for new hires and office tours on the first day, first-day orientation call, etc)
- Organize accommodation for Glianeers who visit our Tartu office
- Support onboarding process (i.e prepare workstations, conduct office tours, distribute welcome packages and Elron cards, and coordinate onboarding swag)
- Manage employee celebrations (i.e, create birthday cards, coordinate anniversaries, send newborn and special occasion gifts)
Requirements
- Excellent communication in English and Estonian, written and verbal
- Willingness to learn and grow with us
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- True people person with a positive, problem-solving attitude and a creative mind
- Previous experience in office and/or event management or similar roles is a plus
