Business Analyst III

The Business Analyst III is an integral part of the GHX Solution Engineering team, partnering with field sales representatives and Solution Engineers to support the sales process by processing and analyzing item masters, purchase order histories, vendor masters, and other data sets. This role acts as the Subject Matter Expert and supports the strategic direction on data assessments and reporting tools, working closely with technical and development teams to drive enhancements that support customer utilization and sales activities. The Business Analyst III reports to the VP, Solution Engineering.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Owns and manages the full process of the Supply Chain Health Assessment and other assessment data, supporting their creation and delivery as needed by Sales, and applies knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain data to answer industry, ERP, or data-specific questions.
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert, partnering with GHX Enterprise Business Intelligence, Product, Development, the GHX Sales Team, and the Solution Engineering team to improve overall Assessment tools, processes, and client-facing presentations.
  • Works closely with the GHX sales team to uncover, design, and streamline internal reporting for presales activities.
  • Works closely with the Solution Engineering team to confirm account strategy, reviews data profiles, and creates Assessments that drive efficiency and presales effectiveness based on client-specific needs.
  • Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date knowledge of specific industry, regulatory, and product trends.
  • Partners with Product leadership on long-term roadmap of Assessment tools and identify new data and analytics capabilities to support GHX’s sales strategy.
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy, independently prioritizing competing requests across Sales, Product, and Development.
  • Serves as a key resource for complex or ambiguous data and escalates to leadership as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a technical field and/or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, technical Product Management, Sales, and/or Engineering.
  • 3+ years of Supply Chain experience or Supply Chain experience with an MBA or other advanced degree in a related field
  • Familiarity with AI/GenAI tools to support data analysis, reporting, and presentation development
  • Comfort learning and applying AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with various ERP and/or EMR systems.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and demonstrated ability to format and analyze large data sets.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%.

  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems and supply chain data.
  • Ability to validate customer problems through inquiry and provide insight, efficiency, and value.
  • Knowledge of key industry and business processes, and ability to effectively interface at multiple levels (C-level, functional, technical).
  • Ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Professional written communication skills for emails, RFPs, and reports.
  • Ability to speak publicly in large and high-visibility forums.
  • Exceptional business acumen and presentation skills.

The compensation range for the $81,000- $108,000

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees.
