About the Role

Are you a seasoned architect who thrives at the intersection of modern cloud-native architecture and enterprise systems? Do you excel at translating between AWS serverless patterns and traditional enterprise needs?

We're seeking a Software Architect to bridge our AWS-first, serverless platform with critical enterprise systems. This role requires someone who can design elegant cloud solutions while understanding the complexities of enterprise IT decision-making. You'll be the key technical liaison between our engineering teams and IT leadership, driving both immediate integration needs and long-term technology strategy.

What You'll Do

Architecture & Systems Design Leadership

  • Lead the design of cloud-native integration architectures using cloud-native patterns connecting to enterprise systems
  • Define integration strategy that balances modern cloud-native principles with enterprise system constraints and requirements
  • Design event-driven architectures that support both real-time and batch processing needs across enterprise platforms
  • Create domain-driven design patterns that align with both business capabilities and technical system boundaries

Enterprise Technology Strategy

  • Advise IT leadership on technology choices for MarTech and related enterprise systems, considering integration complexity and cloud-native patterns.
  • Participate in vendor evaluations and technology assessments, providing technical guidance on integration feasibility and architectural fit
  • Translate between enterprise requirements and modern cloud architecture patterns, ensuring solutions meet both worlds' needs
  • Drive architectural decisions that support business agility while maintaining enterprise-grade security, compliance, and reliability
  • Architect scalable MarTech solutions that integrate seamlessly to empower data-driven marketing strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Manage and set expectations for stakeholders in both enterprise and product platform areas
  • Partner with other internal groups to ensure integration solutions meet enterprise standards for security and compliance.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to implement proof-of-concepts and guide technical implementation of complex integrations.
  • Facilitate architecture reviews and technical discussions with stakeholders ranging from developers to engineering leadership
  • Mentor development teams on cloud-native integration patterns and enterprise system architecture best practices.

Technical Implementation

  • Hands-on involvement in designing and prototyping critical integrations using Well Architected technologies
  • Define service contracts and data flow patterns for enterprise system integrations
  • Establish monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices for integration platforms
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on system performance metrics and business needs
  • Design and optimize MarTech solutions to enhance search visibility and audience engagement across SEO, AEO, and AO channels

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

  • 8+ years architecting large-scale integration solutions with at least 5 years focused on cloud platforms; AWS experience a plus
  • Proven experience with domain-driven design and event-driven architecture patterns
  • Experience with API design, microservices architecture, and data integration patterns
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, SAM, CloudFormation)

Enterprise Technology Knowledge

  • Strong background integrating enterprise systems; MarTech experience a plus (HubSpot, 6sense, SalesForce, Contentful)
  • Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and data governance requirements
  • Familiarity with enterprise change management and vendor relationship dynamics

Leadership & Communication Skills

  • Proven ability to influence technical decisions in cross-functional, matrixed environments
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders
  • Track record of leading technical initiatives that span multiple teams and systems
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills for architecture reviews and strategy discussions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in both startup/scale-up and enterprise environments
  • Experience with data streaming and real-time processing architectures
  • Knowledge of modern observability and monitoring tools
