Project Manager

London, UK

📍 Location: London
🏙️ Office requirement: Hybrid, 1-2 days in office/wk
📝 Employment type:  Fixed Term

At GWI we’re always looking for extraordinary people who thrive on making an extraordinary impact. Right now we’re looking for a Project Manager to play a key role in our Business Operations Team in London. If that’s you, and making a difference gets you out of bed in the morning, keep reading. It could be the start of something, well, extraordinary.

Sounds great, what will I be doing? 🤔

As our Project Manager you’ll execute delivery of key strategic projects for the business through our Working Groups. We are looking for someone who is passionate about exceptional delivery and getting things done. You will be reporting directly to the Strategic Delivery Team Lead. This role will give you exposure to all departments within the business and every project will be different to the next.

You'll also be:

  • Scoping strategically significant projects with an Exec Sponsor, forming a working group, and designing a detailed project plan using GWI’s best practices project management software tools (i.e. Asana).
  • Delivering strategically significant projects through a cross departmental working group using regular project call check-ins and stakeholder engagement. You will need to be comfortable delegating tasks and handling pushback from project stakeholders.
  • Provide tailored reporting for your Exec Sponsor and other necessary project stakeholders. This may include Company-level project reporting.
  • Use project delivery best practice documentation such as Project Plans, RAID Logs, RACI Matrix’s, and Lesson Learned templates throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Using the above, mitigating project risks and issues to avoid timeline, budget and quality impact. Use your project plans and RAID Logs to keep your working group accountable for their actions.
  • Track the forecasted benefits of your projects post-implementation using best practice methodology and communicate progress to key stakeholders.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team, enjoy collaborating with others, and spearhead open and honest communication.
  • Have ambition to grow within the role and learn from those around you through challenging Grow (development) goals.

It’s also fun; shaking things up is what working for a growing company is all about. So you’ll need to be flexible, comfortable with continuous change, and working in a high-tempo environment as we grow.

What do I need to bring with me? 🧳

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you’re willing to learn. Here’s what the team will be looking for:

👉 Proven Project Management experience working in either tech companies or market research/insight agencies
👉 Demonstrated project delivery experience that has required cross departmental collaboration and transformational business outcomes for your employer.
👉 Formal project management qualifications e.g. PRINCE2, PMP or APM.
👉 Confidence in maintaining RAID Logs, Decision Logs and Lesson Learned/Wash-Up sessions following project closure.
👉 Experience in delivering reports and presentations to Senior and Executive (C-Suite) level leadership.
👉 A Growth Mindset - You’re keen to learn from more experienced project and program managers and excited about the next step in your career.
👉 A Collaborative Approach - You really enjoy working with others to establish and maintain collaborative relationships, you value all feedback and you’re always eager to learn.
👉 Experience using project management software such as Asana, MS Project, Trello or Monday.com; you’ll be using this software on a daily basis and using them to drive accountability with stakeholders.

Equally important is attitude. We want people who think big (to make an impact), ask why (to find a better way), and show respect (to everyone, at every level, all the time). Those are our values, exemplified by our leadership team, and they’re a big part of what we’re looking for in you.

What’s in it for me? 🎁

You’ll do the sort of work that got you excited about your career in the first place - not as a cog in a machine, but as an individual whose contribution matters. So gigantic job satisfaction comes as standard, but it’s only part of the package. You’ll also get:

🌴 Tons of days off: 25 days annual leave | Xmas office closures
