The role

Commercial Finance is built on two pillars:

  • Be brilliant at the basics; robust reporting underpinned by ‘one source of truth’ principle and great process
  • No surprises; ongoing forecasting of performance underpinned by proactive analysis and insights

The role will have two points of focus based on both sides of an ROI calculation: the primary focus being on revenues and understanding the ‘why’ behind the numbers, with a secondary focus on investment and how this shapes performance.

Our ‘Self Serve’ business, where this role will focus on, has upwards of 100k merchants with many reportable characteristics, meaning data sets can be large and complex.  We require deep analysis of trends and drivers in order to use them to make assumptions on future volumes and the value they will generate.

What excites you:

  • Having a deep knowledge of performance drivers and driving the evolution of metric reporting in line with business goals
  • Being a credible and trusted business partner who enjoys building relationships with key stakeholders across the business
  • Owning and executing on process change and being trusted to work independently on this
  • Proactive analysis of complex data sets that can be very large (multiple data parameters and thousands of rows) with the ability to summarise clear and meaningful insights
  • Data and modelling; being comfortable owning complex budget and forecast revenue models, proactively raising risks and finding opportunities to mitigate for them
  • Owning the integrity of the rolling spend forecasts; and working alongside stakeholders to ensure high standards of inputs in order to deliver quality ROI reporting and inform decision making
  • Being a respected senior figure in the team; a role model to those starting out in their career

What excites us:

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a Finance Analyst or Commercial Analyst role
  • You are a clear and confident communicator across all levels of the business, including Exec level stakeholders
  • You are inquisitive, proactive & passionate about interrogating data to understand the ‘why’
  • You have extensive experience working in Excel/Google Sheets to build financial models of varying complexity; SQL knowledge would be a bonus, willingness to learn is a must.
  • You enjoy condensing the findings of your analysis so that it is easy for stakeholders to understand
  • You are comfortable with cost management in a commercial context
  • (It’s preferred) You are a qualified member of a recognized accounting association (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)

We don't expect you to meet every requirement. If you're excited by this role, we encourage you to apply.

Salary range - the expected base salary range for this position is between €34,400 - €51,600 (gross) per year. (Including 13th and 14th salary)

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data.
