Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for our next motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join the GoFundMe FP&A team. As a Finance Intern, you’ll work closely with the team and help contribute to projects that directly support GoFundMe’s mission and growth. You’ll gain real-world experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, exposure to financial tools, systems, and processes used by high-growth companies, and practical insights into managing financial health while driving social impact.
Candidates considered for this role will be located in the San Francisco, Bay Area or San Diego, CA.
The Job
- Assist in preparing and maintaining financial reports, forecasts, and dashboards.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes through data validation and reconciliations.
- Help analyze trends in key financial metrics such as revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting teams on budgeting and planning initiatives.
- Research and summarize financial data to support business decisions and strategic planning.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts within the Finance function to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects, including cost analysis, financial modeling, and market research.
- Explore the current AI landscape for use in finance
You
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (experience with financial modeling or pivot tables a plus).
- Familiarity with financial statements and accounting concepts.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, curious mindset and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00. As this is a hybrid position, the pay rate was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
