
Business Intelligence Analyst II

GoGuardian is looking for a motivated Business Intelligence Analyst II to help track, analyze, advise, and constantly improve the performance of our business. This is an exciting opportunity to transform an entire company by working closely with business decision-makers. We need candidates experienced in retrieving data from a variety of sources, building Edward Tufte-approved visualizations, and working with department leads to drive improvement through data.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide tactical and strategic intelligence to business decision-makers (BDMs) within the marketing team, as well as sales and finance.
- Work closely with BDMs to understand their business intelligence (BI) requirements and assist in defining KPIs and metrics for each department.
- Build and manage data analytics products (reports, dashboards, etc.) to monitor business performance and make data-informed decisions.
- Provide written and verbal summaries, conclusions, and recommendations regarding business performance.
- Alert decision-makers to changes in business performance, investigate, deep dive and attempt to explain these changes quantitatively.
- Work with the data engineering team to prioritize data needs, identify data quality issues, assist in data modeling, and monitor nightly BI-related jobs.
- Help ensure department software tools (eg, GoGuardian Products, Salesforce, Google Analytics) are being used in a manner that results in reliable data collection.
Who You Are:
- Master’s Degree with an Analytics-focussed program (Business Analytics) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Advanced SQL skills and 3+ years of experience managing large datasets and running complex queries using CTEs, Window & recursive functions.
- Advanced proficiency in Tableau.
- 2+ years of experience analyzing SaaS product metrics and sales and marketing data from systems such as Salesforce, Hubspot, and Google Analytics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfort and ease working with department leads and guiding them to use data

The typical base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000 plus variable pay per year. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications and experience.
