About the Role:

The Lead Financial Analyst will support Motive’s FP&A organization by owning core transactional finance workflows and ensuring day-to-day business activity is accurately reflected in the financial forecast. This role is designed for an overseas hire operating on Pacific Time and will serve as a primary point of contact for purchase order approvals, headcount changes, and ongoing forecast updates.

The role requires strong financial fundamentals, high attention to detail, and the ability to work directly with business partners to translate operational decisions into accurate financial outcomes. By owning execution-heavy finance processes, this role will improve forecast accuracy, strengthen spend discipline, and enable US-based finance leaders to focus on strategic planning and decision support.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own core transactional FP&A workflows, including forecast updates, purchase order approvals, and headcount changes
  • Partner directly with business teams to understand plan changes and translate them into accurate financial forecasts
  • Ensure budgets, forecasts, and systems remain aligned as business activity evolves
  • Enforce spend discipline and financial controls while enabling teams to move quickly
  • Act as a reliable, Pacific Time finance partner, improving responsiveness and reducing friction across the organization

What We’re Looking For:

  • 4+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or operational finance
  • Hands-on ownership of forecasting, budgeting, and expense management in a high-transaction environment
  • Direct experience reviewing and approving purchase orders for budget and policy compliance
  • Experience managing headcount tracking, hiring changes, and role approvals in partnership with HR or Recruiting
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills with the ability to maintain accurate financial models and trackers
