Expression of Interest – Business Development Representative, Australia Market

As we continue our expansion in APAC, we're hiring a Business Development Representative to drive new business generation across Australia. This role is based in Singapore and sits within our Business/Sales Development organization, working closely with Account Executives to build pipeline across the Australia market.

This is an Expression of Interest, not a live job posting yet. We're moving quickly to identify the right person, so if this sounds like you, we'd rather hear from you now than after the role goes public.

Who we're looking for

We need someone who thrives on the energy of outbound prospecting and isn't afraid of the phone. You'll be the first point of contact for prospective Australian customers, sparking interest in Gong through cold calls, emails, and social outreach, and turning cold conversations into qualified discovery calls for our Account Executives.

You should be someone who gets a charge out of high-volume, high-activity work, who takes ownership of their own book of accounts, and who's looking to build a foundation for a long-term career in sales. Given our growth plans, we're looking for someone who can ramp quickly and bring energy and resilience from day one.

What you'll do

  • Generate interest and awareness for Gong through cold calling, email, and social outreach to prospective Australian customers
  • Schedule qualified initial discovery calls for Account Executives
  • Consistently meet or exceed daily activity targets
  • Own and strategically manage a dedicated book of Australian accounts
  • Become a power user of the Gong platform
  • Share feedback and insights with SDR Managers and Sales Enablement to help improve team effectiveness
  • Collaborate with peers across the region to exchange and apply best practices

What we look for

  • Prior prospecting or sales experience is a plus, but not essential — we care more about drive than resume
  • A genuine passion for sales, or an interest in building a long-term sales career
  • Curious about AI — you're experimenting, testing tools, and finding an edge using AI
  • Experience or interest in supporting the Australian market specifically
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High resilience — comfortable with rejection and quick to bounce back
  • A growth mindset and genuine coachability — open to feedback and eager to improve
  • Comfort with high-activity, high-volume outbound work
  • Based in Singapore

What happens next

  • You submit your expression of interest (about 5 minutes)
  • Our Talent team reviews submissions on a rolling basis
  • Strong-fit candidates are contacted directly for an initial conversation, ahead of any public posting
  • If there's mutual fit, we move into a full interview process

Given the pace of our growth, we'll be moving quickly — but we'll always respect your time and won't string you along without real intent to hire.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
