As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing, supporting and maintaining our cloud infrastructure as part of Gong DevOps group integrating within our Mode of Operation, leading daily cooperation with various R&D groups, automating repeatable processes and proactively monitoring our Infrastructure.

You will be joining a highly technological team responsible for managing our cloud environments, optimizing infrastructure, ensuring security and cost efficiency.
In this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders across the company, including R&D, Security, and Product teams, to support the Gong development cycle, automate processes, streamline operations and maintain Gong cloud infrastructure.

You'll Own:

  • Leading DevOps on-call during work hours to support the Gong development cycle and ensure smooth operations as part of Gong’s DevOps Mode of Operation.
  • Taking responsibility for managing and maintaining Gong’s cloud environments.

You'll Solve:

  • Contributing to automating and streamlining our processes, enhancing operational efficiency, reducing manual intervention, and increasing reliability.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders, including R&D, Security, and Product teams, to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices across the company.
  • Optimizing infrastructure, improving security, and driving cost efficiency of Gong’s cloud environments.

You'll Impact:

  • Playing a key role in shaping the company’s long-term cloud strategy.
  • Contributing to innovation and sustainable infrastructure solutions.

How you'll succeed here:

  • 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong background in cloud computing technologies, particularly AWS.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation, with experience in Python and Bash.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Expertise in GitOps and CI/CD methodologies using tools like ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Proven experience working with Kubernetes (K8s) in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of computer networking fundamentals, REST architecture, and cloud security principles.
  • Experience working in a Java-based environment is a plus. (Optional) 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead solution from design to implementation.
  • Self-motivated, creative thinker with the ability to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment while strategically contributing to long-term cloud infrastructure goals.
