As a Senior Engagement Manager on our Professional Services team, you will be the strategic delivery leader for Gong's most critical, Enterprise-level implementations, often catering to Fortune 500 and 100 clients. This role moves beyond standard project management; you will be the driving force behind the strategic adoption and organizational change required for customers to maximize their investment in Gong.
You will manage the entire engagement lifecycle, predominantly based on custom Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring not just delivery on time, cost, and scope, but also establishing Gong as a trusted strategic advisor. Your ability to navigate large, complex organizational structures, manage C-suite stakeholders, and architect effective Change Management strategies is paramount to success. We are looking for an individual who will significantly contribute to elevating our overall Enterprise Delivery posture and methodology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Delivery & Change Leadership
- Architect and drive the Change Management Strategy for complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise implementations, ensuring successful organizational adoption and maximum business value realization.
- Serve as the executive point of contact and trusted advisor to C-level and senior leadership (VP/Director-level) sponsors, expertly managing expectations, providing strategic direction, and communicating engagement risks.
- Lead the entire implementation lifecycle, from discovery and design through testing, rollout, and post-go-live transition, ensuring all engagements meet the highest Enterprise Delivery standards.
- Proactively challenge, recommend, and redirect both internal and client teams on best practices, adoption models, and strategic shifts required for successful program outcomes.
- Conduct sophisticated discovery workshops to translate complex business objectives and use cases into a structured, executable deployment plan for the Gong platform.
Enterprise Program Management & Governance
- Maintain rigorous oversight of multiple concurrent, custom SOW-based projects, effectively managing competing priorities, resources, and budgets to consistently meet milestones.
- Own and control project scope; proactively identify, mitigate, and clearly communicate engagement risks and dependencies to all key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement governance structures and communication cadences appropriate for large, global enterprise client environments.
- Formalize requirements gathering and execute the change control process, including drafting and negotiating change orders as appropriate.
Team & Methodology Elevation
- Partner seamlessly with Sales and Customer Success to ensure an exceptional, smooth transition from pre-sales solutioning through ongoing support.
- Opportunistically engage with the Sales team to position and structure custom, high-value Professional Services packages for prospective clients.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement and scaling of the Gong Professional Services methodology, specifically focusing on refining our Enterprise Delivery playbook.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of proven experience in Project or Program Management of enterprise-scale software implementations, preferably within a SaaS environment.
- 6+ years of professional consulting experience delivering custom solutions to Fortune 500/100 clients.
- Demonstrated executive presence and the ability to confidently and articulately influence, negotiate, and present to C-level and senior management stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in Change Management strategy and execution (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR principles or equivalent) within large, complex organizations.
- Exceptional political acumen and ability to navigate ambiguous organizational dynamics and complex decision-making processes at a large enterprise.
- Ability to travel as required to facilitate strategic client engagements (up to 25%).
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
YOU ARE
- Expert-level knowledge of core project management disciplines (time, cost, scope, risk management). PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications (e.g., Change Management certifications) are a significant plus.
- Strong understanding of typical Enterprise-level business processes and sales strategy, and how SaaS applications support them.
- Solid experience with CRM systems (Salesforce.com or Dynamics strongly preferred) and other applications that support revenue teams.
- Impeccable communication, compelling presentation, and eloquent writing skills.

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $179,000 - $210,000 USD.
Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.
