ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you have a personality so bright it requires polarized lenses? Good. We’re looking for a Sales Associate, Part-Time to join the flock at our physical retail location we lovingly call the goodr Cabana. This isn't just "working in a store"—it’s hosting a curated retail party where you’re the DJ, the bouncer, and the life of the party all at once.
The goodr cabana is a fully curated retail experience and the team is responsible for overseeing every aspect of the operation from stocking and cleaning, to organizing events and spearheading community outreach. We are looking for someone fun and outgoing who also has great attention to detail and the ability to build strong grassroots relationships with local groups and businesses. If you have a passion for creating brand affinity through customer connection, this part-time position is for you!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Master the art of "Customer Obsession" by anticipating guest needs before they know they have them, creating a customer experience people can't live without
- Lead meaningful, high-energy interactions with a hospitality mindset, whether it’s a master class, a run club activation, or a random Tuesday
- Connect with guests by asking open-ended questions to find their perfect fit (exceeding their expectations of style, comfort, and fun)
- Stand, walk, bend and kneel, as well as lift up to 25 pounds of swag to keep the floor and stockroom looking fresh
- Help fuel our social media fire, pitch new ideas for the Cabana, and curate the legendary playlists that keep the energy at a 10/10
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges with such speed and grace that the guest actually enjoys the checkout process (yes, it’s possible)
- Build authentic "neighborly" relationships with local businesses and partners to grow the flock beyond the Cabana walls
- Take pride in the "physical touchpoint" by handling all cleaning and upkeep, ensuring the Cabana is always a five-star tropical oasis
- Own the stage by seamlessly setting up, hosting, and closing out community events that turn our store into the high-energy heartbeat of the local neighborhood
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- This role is in the Cabana Team and will report directly to the Director of the Cabana
ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- May or may not have a degree...we don’t care (bonus points for Basset Hound Science or Dinosaur Law)
- 1+ year of retail experience
- Prior experience with POS (point of sale) or inventory management systems is a BIG plus
- Is a style chameleon who knows that the right pair of sunnies is the final boss of any outfit—whether it's for a marathon or a brunch date
- Available to work 20-30 hours a week, including some weekend availability to meet the needs of the Cabana
- Loves striking up conversations with strangers
- Is into outreach and building connections
- Asks a lot of questions
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Thinks Fun is doing great work (not just partying)
