🔑 What You’ll Do

  • Build and nurture relationships with general contractors, architects, facility managers, property owners, and building engineers

  • Prospect and qualify commercial opportunities such as warehouse doors, dock systems, sectional doors, access controls, rolling steel doors, and gate systems

  • Conduct site visits and job walks to assess existing conditions and system needs

  • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, estimates, and bids

  • Collaborate with operations, technical, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution

  • Serve as a product expert — stay current on codes, materials, hardware, and new door technologies

  • Represent Goody at trade shows, local associations, and networking events

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and manage your sales pipeline professionally

  • Facilitate post-installation follow-ups, warranty relationships, and upsell/maintenance renewals

  • Proven sales experience in construction, industrial doors, garage doors, or building products

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction specs, and architectural plans (preferred)

  • Technical aptitude and curiosity — you love learning how things work

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Strong organizational habits and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with CRM software, Excel, and Microsoft Office (or equivalents)

  • Self-driven, disciplined, and able to manage your own territory

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Willingness to commit to a non-compete or geographic restriction (if required)
