The Product and Pricing team plays a key role in ensuring our Commercial Lines portfolio is both profitable and well-positioned for growth. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Actuarial Pricing, to drive strategic initiatives and deliver tailored insurance solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in portfolio management, product development, and pricing strategies, while contributing to the success of Gore Mutual’s Commercial Lines business.

What will you do?
As the Product and Pricing Manager, Commercial, you will:
• Oversee the Commercial Lines portfolio to ensure profitability and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Manage Fleet, Garage, IRCA, and Property & Casualty product offerings, including conducting consumer and broker research for product development initiatives.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies to promote profitable growth in collaboration with the Manager, Actuarial Pricing.
• Investigate, analyze, and identify changes to Commercial Insurance to achieve or exceed operational plan targets.
• Complete underwriting filings with FSRA for regulated lines of business to ensure compliance.
• Work closely with the EPMO and IT teams to maintain commercial lines policy systems, including enhancements and defect management.
• Lead and manage a team of at least three direct reports, Product and Pricing Analysts.
What will you need to succeed?
• A minimum of 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience.
• Leadership experience 2+ years
• Performance analysis 2+ years
• Product Development 2+ years
• University degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Enrollment in or completion of the CIP and/or FCIP designation.
• Proven experience providing genuine customer service to broker partners by presenting tailored commercial insurance solutions to meet clients' needs.
• Proficient underwriting skills, sound judgment, decision-making, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Technical proficiency to maintain policy systems and manage enhancements.
• Proficient skills with computer applications, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to adapt to change and actively promote continuous improvements to enhance team operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Location:
We’re a hybrid team that thrives on the energy and value of in-office collaboration. This role offers the best of both worlds, with 2 days a week spent in our vibrant offices in Cambridge or Toronto.
