Data and Analytics Manager

Fair Lawn, NJ

Gottlieb & Greenspan is a rapidly growing law firm at the forefront of healthcare reimbursement litigation, with a specialized focus on disputes arising under the No Surprises Act (NSA). Our firm is known for its high‑stakes advocacy, strategic litigation approach, and commitment to delivering exceptional results for our clients. We pride ourselves on being ethical, respectful, accountable, positive, driven, and committed to excellence.

We are seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Manager t join our growing team.

You'll own the firm's data and analytics function, reporting to the IT Director. You'll decide how our data is modeled and defined, build the reporting that partners and case teams rely on, and turn high-volume case data into decisions about which disputes to file, how to price offers, and how to argue against specific carriers. You'll also supervise and mentor a junior data analyst. This is a builder role in a small, fast-moving team, not a role that manages from a distance. You'll also be the firm's guide to its own data: when someone needs an answer, they should know exactly which report to open, and that's on you to make easy.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the data model across Salesforce, Box, and Fabric, including shared definitions for core metrics (wins, awards, payout relative to QPA, carrier and IDR entity performance) so everyone works from one version of the truth
  • Build and maintain Power BI semantic models and a curated library of reports, retiring duplicates and outdated versions so the library stays lean
  • Create and maintain a report catalog that tells staff which report answers which question, what each metric means, and who to ask, and keep it current as reports change
  • Train attorneys, case managers, and staff on where to find answers, and point people to existing reports before building new ones
  • Partner with attorneys and case managers to understand their questions, then deliver a clear recommendation rather than a data dump
  • Develop and validate predictive models (for example, win probability) and help evaluate where machine learning adds real value
  • Supply clean, well-structured data to our Automation & AI team for AI extraction and agent workflows
  • Establish data quality checks and governance practices
  • Mentor a junior analyst and set standards for how analysis is requested, built, documented, and delivered

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in data analytics, analytics engineering, or a similar role, with at least some time owning a reporting function or leading others
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills (star schemas, dimensional modeling, semantic layers)
  • Advanced Power BI, including DAX and semantic model design
  • Experience working with Salesforce data (objects, relationships, reporting, SOQL or data extraction)
  • Python for analysis and basic modeling (pandas, scikit-learn, or similar)
  • The ability to explain what the numbers mean to non-technical partners and recommend what to do about it
  • Experience writing clear documentation for non-technical users, such as data dictionaries, report guides, or internal wikis
  • A habit of documenting, reusing, and improving existing work instead of starting over

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare claims, reimbursement, or revenue cycle experience (CPT/HCPCS codes, EOBs, payer data)
  • Microsoft Fabric experience, including AutoML or notebooks
  • Exposure to Box or document-heavy data workflows
  • Experience with LLM or AI-assisted data extraction

Salary Range: $130,000-165,000 / year, commensurate with experience

Benefits:

  • 100% employer paid Medical Insurance for employees, starting day 1
  • 100% employer paid Dental and Vision Insurance for employees, starting within 31 days
  • 401(k) with Employer Contributions
  • Profit Sharing
  • Cash Balance Plan (similar to pension)
  • Competitive PTO & Paid Holidays
  • Friendly, team-focused culture where your work matters
