Job Summary  

We are seeking an experience audit professional to lead and deliver the internal audit programme across the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring risk-based audit planning, robust management of corrective actions and driving measurable continuous improvement across quality, safety, security, and continuity domains. Working in a technically challenging, fast paced environment you will enable Graphcore to it scale to build the world’s most advanced AI systems 

The Team 

The Graphcore Quality Team delivers outstanding customer experience and champions sustainable excellence throughout Graphcore. We are responsible for customer, supply chain and product quality, as well as organisational compliance, governance and assurance. You will be joining a diverse team of experts in these domains based in our Bristol, Cambridge (UK) and Hsinchu (Taiwan) offices. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Plan, deliver, and maintain the internal audit programme covering: 
  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management) 
  • ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security) 
  • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) 
  • ISO 22301 (Business Continuity) 
  • Coordinate the other qualified auditors within the organisation to deliver on the programme, ensuring that all layer 1, 2 and 3 audits are completed in a timely manner. 
  • Collaborate with audit action owners to manage the end-to-end corrective and preventive action (CAPA) process, ensuring issues are effectively tracked, closed, and verified. 
  • Facilitate root cause analysis activities and work cross-functionally to implement sustainable solutions. 
  • Monitor audit findings, process metrics, and incident trends to identify improvement opportunities. 
  • Coordinate and contribute to management reviews with audit data, trends, and risks. 
  • Support teams in embedding a continuous improvement mindset and ensuring IMS effectiveness. 

Candidate Profile 

Essential: 

  • In depth understanding of theory and practice of ISO9001 and at least one of the following standards: 
  •  ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 45001, or ISO 22301. 
  • Significant experience conducting or supporting internal audits (trained to lead auditor or equivalent). 
  • Strong coordination and follow-up skills; comfortable chasing actions and driving resolution. 
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques (e.g. 5 Whys, Ishikawa, A3). 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams. 

Desirable: 

  • Exposure to multi-standard IMS environments. 
  • Experience in a technology, software development, manufacturing, or high-compliance sector. 
  • Familiarity with audit tools, risk registers, or quality dashboards. 
  • Experience evaluating business maturity utilising the EFQM model.
