Job Summary  
 

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines for Go-based applications and Kubernetes-native services. You will automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Helm, or Ansible. Your role includes ensuring secure, repeatable, and auditable deployment processes, as well as optimising pipeline performance for fast feedback and reliable deployments. 

This role requires deep expertise in Kubernetes, cloud-native tooling, infrastructure as code, and a strong understanding of DevOps best practices. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for Go-based applications and Kubernetes-native services. 
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform, Helm or Ansible) 
  • Ensure that CI pipelines are robust, secure, and capable of supporting comprehensive testing strategies for Go applications. 
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise pipeline performance to ensure fast feedback and reliable deployments. 
  • Ensure secure, repeatable, and auditable deployment processes across environments. 
  • Work closely with software engineers to integrate DevOps practices into the development lifecycle. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues. 
  • Mentor junior DevOps engineers. 
  • Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, trends, and best practices. 
     

Skills and Experience  

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in cloud-native environments. 
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration. 
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) and infrastructure automation tools. 
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). 
  • Experience supporting Go application development and testing workflows. 
  • Understanding of networking, security, and system administration. 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure). 
  • Strong grasp of Linux-based operating systems. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
