As a Program Manager within the Manufacturing Operations group, you will be responsible for the planning, co-ordination, and delivery of the Graphcore product roadmap and for identifying upcoming technical challenges that will face Manufacturing Operations. 

You will help develop and co-ordinate plans across the team, wider organisation and our manufacturing partners, joining them together into a cohesive overall programme.  

You will be a linchpin of communication for the team, able to analyse hard and soft data, taking in ambiguity and providing clarity. 

 

The Team 

You will be joining a diverse team of technical experts as part of the Manufacturing Operations organisation which is comprised of Manufacturing Technology, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Test and Diagnosis, which has members in Bristol, Cambridge, India and Taiwan.  

 

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Define, own and communicate the programme plan for Manufacturing Operations, aligning priorities with other key stakeholders, for example Hardware and Software Design, Manufacturing partners etc. 
  • Manage new product introduction (NPI) flow between engineering, operations and manufacturing including ensuring the definition of clear deliverables, timelines and metrics 
  • Coordinate and drive new product reviews, risk reviews  
  • Maintain cross functional and global engineering relationships within Graphcore and other key stakeholders 
  • Enhance NPI processes by assessing current workflows, identifying efficiency improvements, and implementing best practices. 
     

Candidate Profile 

Essential: 

  • Strong program management skills with ability to draw on experience of different methodologies (g. waterfall, scrum, agile etc) to identify the most appropriate method for each situation. 
  • Outstanding communication and relationship development  
  • Relentless drive and the tenacity to deliver in the face of obstacles and ambiguity. 
  • Experience in technology development, electronics manufacturing, etc 
  • Ability to understand the interactions, interfaces and tensions between hardware design, manufacturing and test, quality to amplify. 
  • Ability to work on own initiative in a rapidly evolving, highly complex development environment, as well as in cross functional global teams. 

 

Desirable 

  • Experience in cutting edge semiconductor, server, deep tech or other high-volume manufacturing environments where pushing the boundaries of functionality, quality and pace is second nature. 
  • Working knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MSProject etc. 
  • Experience in structured change management and improvement methodologies such as ADKAR, Lean, SixSigma, Kotter’s 8-steps, etc.
