Sr Manager, Human Resources
Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Human Resources is directly responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction and advice in the development and implementation of human resource strategies, policies and procedures across the organization.
Responsibilities may include (all or some of the following): recruitment, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and overall oversight for the Human Resources Teams at assigned sites and serves as a backup for the Human Resources Director. The Sr. Manager, Human Resources will establish and maintain a professional working relationship with internal and external customers.
The Sr. Manager, Human Resources maintains employee confidence and protects Greenpoint operations by keeping personnel data confidential and ensuring all Human Resources team members, as well as site leadership, comply with this confidentiality.
Summary of Duties:
- Manage the design and implementation of Human Resources initiatives, programs and policies to meet strategic business needs. Lead the delivery of Human Resources services through fostering a customer-centric culture.
- Process all Employee Relations concerns including conducting investigations and ensuring compliance with State/Federal Regulations and Company Policies.
- Coach and advise management on succession planning.
- Promote Company culture and core values.
- Help ensure that the Company adheres to State/Federal regulations.
- Coach management on Employee Relations issues and compliance with laws to ensure consistency.
- Understand, implement, and enforce Company Policies.
- Create, maintain, and perform Disciplinary Actions.
- Perform terminations and layoffs.
- Advise Management on proper disciplinary and termination protocol.
- Work with HSE Managers to address Health and Safety issues in the workplace.
- Ensure record keeping is in compliance with State/Federal regulations and complete internal audits.
- Participate in Customer, FAA, and AS9100 audits.
- Provide proper training and answer questions for entire Human Resources team at all sites and locations.
- Complete regular weekly/monthly reports as requested by Director of Human Resources.
- Keeps management appropriately informed of site and corporate activities and of any significant/potential problems.
- Develop specific goals and plans for the individual sites Human Resources Department and take necessary steps to achieve those goals.
- In coordination with the Human Resources Director, evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of a skilled workforce.
- Works with Human Resources Director to develop staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the corporation for positions of responsibility.
- Works with Human Resources Director, site leadership and site Human Resources Team to develop appropriate policies and programs for effective Human Resources management (included in this area but not limited only to the following would be programs for employee relations, affirmative action, and work environment).
- Under the guidance of the Human Resources Director, enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces Human Resources policies and procedures of the organization that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
- With the Human Resources Director coordinates the activities, programs and strategic Human Resources plans of Human Resources departments across multiple business units.
- Assist in Site and Focal data reporting.
- Responsible for supporting the harmonization of Human Resources policies and programs to enhance our “Safran Together” mission.
- Provides technical advice and knowledge to others within the Human Resources discipline.
- Assists the Human Resources Director in evaluating the Human Resource structure and team for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional growth opportunities.
- Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture.
- Regular, predictable onsite attendance is required.
- Will directly and / or indirectly supervise managers and professional level employees.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree, in Human Resources or a related field, preferred
Experience:
- 10 years of overall Human Resources experience; including 5 years minimum of HR people management responsibility or similar experience.
- 10 years of overall Human Resources experience; including 7 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist, HRBP or similar experience.
Other Skills:
- Knowledge of both State and Federal Labor Laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Human Resources concepts, best practices, and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and give constructive feedback.
- Must be highly organized with ability to track multiple projects.
- Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office including, Word and Excel.
- Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate.
Additional Preferred Skills: (not required)
- Human Resources certification or Master’s Degree
- HRIS - ADP knowledge
The expected WA salary range for this position is between $121,000.00 - $166,000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
