Sr Materials Coordinator
Summary
Serves as a main point of contact/liaison between departments to ensure parts and materials required to support manufacturing are received, shipped and issued on schedule. Troubleshoots inventory, shipping and receiving issues as they arise, and facilitates activities between Planning, Warehouse, and Modification personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives material requests and coordinates delivery with appropriate personnel
- Troubleshoots and dispositions receiving/grief issues
- Maintains inventory accuracy through regular cycle counting
- Assists Warehouse Lead/Supervisor in the prioritization, coordination, and delivery of parts kits to hangar/shop floor
- Organizes kits/materials on hangar/shop floor based on point of use and scheduled activities to facilitate Production
- Maintains kit cleanliness through daily spot checks to eliminate FOD
- Supports kit shortage status and fulfillment
- Manages floor stock usage and replenishment
- Represent Logistics department at internal and external meetings
- Supports AOG and engineering revisions as necessary
- Troubleshooting of material discrepancies, cycle counts and transaction issues
- Responsible for shipping, receiving and issuing materials
- Pick up and deliver materials from offsite site locations as needed
- Supports Warehouse personnel engaged in shipping, receiving, issuing materials, and delivery of supplies/equipment
- Contributes to the materials management reporting systems to meet company requirements
- Contributes to a positive work atmosphere by displaying productive behavior and communication focused on building effective working relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
- Wears safety equipment as required and follow company safety guidelines/procedures
- Properly adheres to training and GHS/SDS guidelines when handling Hazardous Materials
- Maintains a neat, organized work area and contributes to the daily housekeeping of the department
- Works overtime on an as needed basis
- Other duties, as assigned.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
Associate’s degree or higher preferred with 3 years’ experience in warehousing, logistics or supply chain, or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling a minimum of 5 years of experience. Experience in Aerospace industry highly preferred.
US Citizenship required. Due to government regulations and contract specifications, we are required to fill this position only with an individual who qualifies as a U.S. Citizen.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (read, write, and verbally communicate).
- IATA, DOT and Hazardous Materials shipping experience
- Hazardous Materials handling
- Direct participation and/or facilitation of continuous improvement projects in a Lean manufacturing environment
- Ability to train, coach, and/or mentor staff.
- Ability to complete daily and weekly department reports and metrics.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Experience in Quality Management including deviations/non conformances.
- Familiar with quality terms, concepts, inspection, and planning processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, pack slips, invoices, and certification documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical knowledge and ability to apply towards problem solving.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong sense of ethics, character, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.
- Ability to coordinate and handle multiple priorities within deadlines and take initiative to produce results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Dynamics, SAP, etc.)
- Skills operating general office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, and copiers.
- Valid driver license required.
- Ability to travel as required (up to 10%)
- Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
Physical Requirements
- Able to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.
- Able to lift 25 lbs. without assistance/able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Able to reach overhead.
- Able to work in a non-dust-free environment.
- Normal or corrected vision (required to perform exacting tasks).
- Full range of motion with both hands.
- Can work in a stooping, kneeling, or standing position and in cramped areas.
This is a limited-term employee role with an anticipated end date of 5/26/2028.
