Sr Estimating and Pricing Analyst

Bothell, Washington, United States

Summary

As Greenpoint Technologies advances its proposal capabilities, we’re investing in a modern, data-driven approach to estimating. In our hybrid model, functional teams provide estimate inputs—but we rely on the Senior Estimating & Pricing Analyst to ensure those inputs are validated, modeled, and integrated into clear, compliant, and defensible cost proposals.

This role is not administrative. A separate Proposal Coordinator will manage logistics and calendars. You’ll focus on technical excellence, tool adoption, risk and contingency modeling, and driving transformation in how our estimating system functions. You’ll also play a key role in reducing spreadsheet dependence and modernizing our tools through system integration and automation.

This role is instrumental in developing and executing Greenpoint’s estimating modernization and performance management roadmap and supports strategic goals related to digital transformation and EBIT improvement

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Estimating leadership to enable modernization/transformation
  • Validate, challenge, and enhance functional estimates using historical data, modeling, and comparative analysis
  • Develop structured approaches to quantify and apply risk and contingency at the WBS, CLIN, or program level, using historical analysis and scenario modeling
  • Perform regression, CER development, and sensitivity analysis to ensure BOE credibility
  • Coordinate cross-functional input alignment into an integrated pricing structure
  • Establish and maintain an estimating process and system that is compliant with DFARS 252.215-7002 while remaining flexible enough to enable rapid turn-around time in the commercial marketplace

Process Modernization & Tool Enablement

  • Working closely with our Business Systems team, lead the selection, evaluation, and implementation of a next-generation estimating tool to replace Excel-based processes
  • Define functional requirements, assess vendor capabilities, and coordinate pilot evaluations with key stakeholders
  • Oversee integration between the estimating system and enterprise tools (ERP, scheduling, reporting platforms) to enable seamless proposal workflows
  • Develop automated models, cost templates, and scripts to reduce cycle time and manual errors
  • Drive standardization of estimating practices and promote adoption of digital tools across the business

Proposal Integration (Technical Role)

  • Support the Proposal Coordinator and Capture/Program teams with BOE and pricing content development
  • Ensure alignment across proposal artifacts (WBS, basis of estimate, resource planning, pricing summaries)
  • Support customer fact-finding, audits, and negotiations with data traceability and defensible logic

Governance, Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure estimating system compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and internal policies
  • Lead or support preparation for customer audits, proposal certifications, and compliance sweeps
  • Support periodic internal and external audits by Quality and/or DCMA/DCAA as needed

Key Performance Indicators

  • Estimate Accuracy: Variance between BOE estimates and actuals (or negotiated values), tracked and improved over time
  • Proposal Cycle Time Reduction: % reduction in estimating cycle time through improved tools and standardization
  • Tool Implementation Milestones: On-time delivery of key estimating tool selection, pilot, and go-live milestones
  • Automation Impact: # of manual estimating tasks replaced with automated models or systemized workflows
  • Audit Readiness: Number of estimating compliance findings or corrective actions from audits (target: zero)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree + 10 years, or Master’s + 8 years, in estimating, pricing, proposals, finance, or related field
  • Deep experience in cost modeling, risk-based estimating, and proposal development in the commercial and military segments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or implement tool/system transformation in a pricing or proposal function
  • Proficient in commercial estimating tools (e.g., ProPricer) and adaptable to future systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with D365 and MS Project
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization
  • Experience supporting DCMA/DCAA audits and proposal certifications
  • Knowledge of touch labor modeling, learning curves, and production cost analysis
  • Exposure to Agile, Lean, or digital transformation initiatives in an estimating or finance setting

The expected WA salary range for this position is between $90,000.00 - $124,000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
