Graphic Designer, Beverage

The Role 

The ideal candidate will be a highly detail-oriented, color expert, and extremely motivated person who works well under pressure and can thrive in a deadline driven atmosphere with rapidly shifting priorities. They will be able to work successfully with the Beverage team, plus a variety of internal stakeholders and external vendors. In this role, you will prepare final files for external print & digital vendors which will include, but is not limited to, packaging files, POS displays, trade & consumer marketing materials, on- and off-premise program elements, event materials, reviewing vendor proofs, and more. There will also be general graphic design projects assigned to this role, in addition to production design tasks. This role requires the willingness to understand/learn state-specific regulatory requirements for the hemp beverage industry.

Responsibilities 

  • Create and edit packaging dielines, and artwork within
  • Follow creative production standards across all branded touchpoints to ensure visual quality control
  • Confirm that project outputs meet requirements for delivery across multiple channels, print & digital
  • Create various on-brand graphic design elements for various beverage brand needs with direction from the senior creative lead on Beverage
  • Ensure brand consistency across multiple assets, work with multiple identities concurrently
  • Active diligence that project objectives are successfully met through effective collaboration with leadership, internal, cross-divisional, and external partners as projects require
  • Ensure provided state guidelines and requirements are being met

Qualifications  

  • Agency or in-house corporate graphic design experience with specialized experience in creative production design preferred, especially production work for alc/bev packaging, print & digital materials
  • A strong interest in color matching, proofing, and the technical side of design
  • Has produced technically correct, print- or digital-ready materials, and can provide a portfolio of work 
  • Ability to produce independently in a team environment
  • Extreme attention to detail and willingness to learn existing and new workflows
  • Organizational skills, adaptability and composure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to build and maintain strong and effective vendor and internal relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Performs under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from the Beverage team about the work that needs to be completed
  • Follows projects throughout all stages of print production and/or online deployment
  • Interacts regularly with the Beverage team, and other cross-functional team members as needed for completion of assigned projects
  • Manages the execution of the work, ensuring that creative production projects are completed on time
  • Experience working within a high-growth company would be highly beneficial
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, dynamic, fast-paced organization and to turn ideas into concrete action plans
  • Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented with strong problem solving skills 

Additional Requirements 

  • Must pass any and all required background checks  
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry  
  • Must possess valid driver’s license 
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age 
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.

Green Thumb Pay Range

$65,000 - $75,000 USD
