Regional Plant Controller

The Role 

The Regional Controller is responsible for managing the operations finance team covering multiple facilities of GTI Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Business. As a member of regional leadership team, you will partner closely with regional business partners and site leaders to drive performance, improvements, and results.  You will present and explain KPIs and financial reports linking operational drivers and decisions.  You will manage financial activities and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.   

 Responsibilities 

  • Lead month-end close and financial reporting processes for assigned facilities in accordance with GAAP, Finance policies, and SOPs. 
  • Lead inventory reporting and management and ensure compliance with inventory controls and policy for assigned facilities. 
  • Lead and prepare annual budget and forecasts for assigned facilities. 
  • Lead capital process and fixed asset reporting and controls for assigned facilities. 
  • Lead/participate in leadership meetings and provide financial visibility to business partners for decision making for assigned facilities. 
  • Review site performance and KPI data with leadership; understand trends and identify drivers and root causes. 
  • Lead/participate in cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives for assigned facilities.  
  • Partner with HQ ERP/Process Leads to coordinate system/process implementation and compliance for assigned facilities. 
  • Ensure compliance to applicable SOX controls, policies, and procedures, and in addition to managing audit requirements and requests. 
  • Responsible to hire, train, lead, and develop site level finance resources. 
  • Perform/oversee ad hoc analyses, special projects, and other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 8+ years of related experience; CPA and/or MBA preferred. 
  • 2+ years as a plant controller in a manufacturing environment including cost accounting experience. 
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and internal control procedures. 
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness. 
  • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment. 
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally. 
  • Possesses a high level of critical thinking and attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information. 

Additional Requirements 

  • Must pass any and all required background checks. 
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry. 

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.

Green Thumb Pay Range

$120,000 - $135,000 USD
