Associate Endpoint Engineer

The Role 

GTI is a high-growth company in a new industry looking to grow its internal IT department. As a green field project this is an incredibly exciting opportunity to help design the systems and team that you have always wanted to be a part of. The Associate Endpoint Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining device management platforms like Intune. The Associate Endpoint Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining patching schedules, building imaging tasks, and managing BYOD devices. As an Associate Endpoint Engineer, you have a natural talent for troubleshooting and enjoy helping team members resolve issues with their computers, software, hardware, and more. 
 
We are specifically seeking a candidate with extensive Intune experience. This role is mainly based out of our Mundelein, IL location (3 days / week) with the need to support our HQ Chicago location 1 day / week, and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage, maintain and monitor the internal & external (cloud) systems and infrastructure 
  • Design and deploy systems for 100+ manufacturing and retail locations 
  • Build imaging infrastructure to effortlessly reimage various devices remotely 
  • Create and maintain versioning around stable production images 
  • Establish change control mechanisms for imaging, support, maintenance, etc.
  • Build patching processes to ensure device security and compliance 
  • Manage BYOD and partner with Information Security to protect corporate data on them
  • Create and maintain team documentation including SOP’s, How-To Guides, FAQ’s
  • Identify and assist with automation opportunities across the team
  • Work closely with team members to design, build, test, and deploy our systems 
  • Identify and self-manage enhancement projects
  • Some travel may be required (@ 5-10%)

Qualifications  

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in System Administration or a related field 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated passion for IT and a troubleshooting mindset
  • Extensive experience setting up & maintaining Intune and MDM 
  • Extensive experience with JAMF, and/or managing endpoints in a Mac environment 
  • The ability to work flexibly, independently, and with the broader team 
  • The desire to grow yourself, your team, and the company
  • Ability to work cross functionally with broader teams
  • Must be comfortable working around cannabis products 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Networking experience

Additional Requirements 

  • Must pass any and all required background checks  
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry  
  • Must possess valid driver’s license 
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age 
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.

Green Thumb Pay Range

$65,000 - $75,000 USD
