Beverage Logistics Manager

The Role 

As more Americans turn to cannabis for well-being, we are looking to grow our team to help us bring additional safe, trusted products to even more consumers and channels across the country. The Beverage Logistics Manager will be a key player in expanding our THC-infused beverage business to ensure the availability of our beverages nationwide.  

We are seeking someone who is dynamic and entrepreneurial to spearhead the growth of our portfolio of brands led by Señorita, an award-winning hemp-derived THC beverage brand. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, requiring someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. This role offers significant growth opportunities as the business expands. However, the individual must be comfortable taking a hands-on approach, actively engaging with distributors, 3PLs, suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. 

Responsibilities 

Carrier Management & Freight Coordination: 

  • Develop and execute carrier strategy by sourcing and negotiating contracts for FTL, LTL, and other freight modes 
  • Build and maintain strong carrier relationships, holding them accountable for cost, service, and compliance performance. 
  • Oversee transportation budget, ensuring freight spend aligns with financial and service targets. 

Scheduling & Appointment Management: 

  • Lead coordination with warehouses, suppliers, co-packers, and distributors to arrange inbound and outbound freight. 
  • Ensure logistics plans support production runs, raw material requirements, and customer fulfillment deadlines. 
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks, proactively communicating shipment delays or changes to leadership and key stakeholders. 

Process Improvement & Reporting: 

  • Own the development and reporting of logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, cost per case/pallet, freight savings, carrier reliability, etc.). 
  • Partner with Finance, Supply Planning, and Fulfillment to forecast freight spend and identify cost-reduction opportunities. 
  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) across logistics functions, driving consistency and accountability. 

Qualifications  

  • 5+ years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, preferably within the beverage or consumer packaged goods industry. Prior people leadership experience preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business preferred or related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics systems (TMS/WMS) required. Preferred experience PowerBI, SQL/MS Access, and advanced planning tools  
  • Adjusts quickly to shifting priorities, evolving compliance requirements, and/or demand fluctuations 
  • Skilled at analyzing data points & reporting in all forms, structuring processes, and managing expectations with senior stakeholders. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. 
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness 
  • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment 
  • Scrappy, adaptable, and ready to overcome challenges in a competitive industry 
  • Possesses a high level of critical thinking with the ability to comprehend the short & long term business decisions beyond the numbers 
  • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy 

Additional Requirements 

  • Must pass any and all required background checks  
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry  
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.

Green Thumb Pay Range

$85,000 - $110,000 USD
