Merchandising Operations Associate
The Role
The Merchandising Operations Associate will be responsible for assisting the Merchandising Operations team in delivering and executing the merchandising strategy. This role will assist the team to merchandise the in-store and online menus to create an experience that is easy to shop for and improves customer navigation. They will assist in ensuring products are represented competitively to meet sales, margin, conversion, and customer satisfaction goals. This position will report to the Merchandising Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as a central connection point between Buying, Merch Ops, Retail Operations, and Digital teams to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely flow of information across channels.
- Support Product & Digital Readiness: Maintain accurate product data, digital content, catalogs, and POS information to ensure readiness for retail and digital execution—including troubleshooting product data issues when needed.
- Drive Operational Accuracy Across Orders & Shipments: Support the order-to-receipt lifecycle through PO/invoice matching, shipment coordination, discrepancy resolution, and timely communication to retail partners.
- Enable Retail Execution Through Clear Communication: Provide retail teams with required merchandise updates, shipment details, blackout dates, and operational support to streamline receiving, merchandising, and inventory processes.
- Execute Promotional & Pricing Updates: Partner with the buying team to activate promotions, set up discounts in digital platforms and POS, support bulk-pricing updates, and assist in shaping promotional strategy through insights and trends.
- Manage Clearance & Inventory Optimization Tasks: Support aging inventory management by coordinating clearance actions and collaborating with buyers and retail partners on short-dated or high-risk items.
- Enhance Digital & Menu Experience: Assist in menu customization, digital accuracy audits, and data infrastructure workflows that enable stores to update menus swiftly and reliably.
- Support Merch Ops Process Improvements: Assist in developing and refining scalable processes that strengthen operational efficiency, cross-functional workflows, and long-term merchandising strategy.
- Monitor Trends & Insights: Track category, retail shipment, and industry trends to surface opportunities and support better decision-making in merchandising and promotional planning.

- Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion for furthering their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws.

- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
Green Thumb Pay Range
$55,000 - $75,000 USD
