Position Summary
Greenworks is looking to expand its technology leading product portfolio to the area of robotics and autonomous landscaping solutions. To lead this initiative, the company is looking to recruit a Product Manager for the category of robotics and autonomous solutions. This individual will be the product expert representing the robotics category from a product management, product development, and road mapping perspective. The Product Manager will collaborate with engineering and industrial design to bring to market innovative product and service solutions. This role will also partner with sales and marketing teams to ensure successful commercialization of said solutions. This is a highly visible position within the organization leading the efforts to become a market leader within the category.
Position-Specific Responsibilities:
- Be the leader of the product portfolio for robotics and autonomous solutions for both Greenworks & Greenworks Commercial products.
- Head the collaboration of defining and executing on the product roadmap robotics and autonomous solutions.
- Represent the insights for both consumers and professional users as a data source for new product development for the category. Widen the understanding of end users by conducting research to obtain relevant market information.
- Lead the work to create assets facilitating the 360-degree consumer journey for robotics.
- Collaborate with sales for both consumers and professional landscapers to assist in customer presentations.
- Analyze market and competitive landscapes, laying out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands
- Continuously assess market competition and voice-of-customer by comparing the company's product to competitors' products. Be an expert with respect to the competition.
- Stay aware of emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive solutions and analysis.
General Responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, organization, and project management skills.
- Work with business stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and prioritization.
- Define, collect, and measure key product metrics and leverage to inform the success of each release and plan future iterations.
- Ensure cross-functional coordination for projects within purview to realize flawless execution of initiatives.
- Responsible to achieve objectives as they relate to agreed-upon time-to-market, customer expectations, target cost, margin, and profit objectives.
- Responsible for developing sales enablement tools and collateral as well as provide necessary training for category.
Experience Required
- 3-5 years of product management/development experience in related field
- Experience in working with robotic or autonomous lawn and garden experience.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving capability with demonstrated leadership in driving quality improvements.
- Self-starting with solid follow-through and multitasking abilities
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business Management, Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Design)
Work Environment
- This position is located at Greenworks’ US headquarters in Mooresville, NC.
Travel
- This position requires up to 15-20% travel, primarily domestic, but also international.
