Position Summary:

This position is responsible for growing and supporting sales within an assigned portfolio of key accounts.  In this role, you will act as a key interface with both internal and external stakeholders by identifying opportunities to increase sales and customer satisfaction.  Establish rapport and relationships with key merchants, brand team members, inventory planners, store personnel, and key customer contacts.   Act as the voice of assigned accounts internally and for sales growth opportunities to ensure that all account needs are addressed.  As Account Manager, you will work closely with the Sr. Director of sales regarding account plans, programs, policies, and marketing efforts.

 

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Execute and develop a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for the assigned accounts by working directly with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals, margins and value creation 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of goals, programs, priorities, and procedures for strategic accounts
  • Develop and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with assigned accounts and develop new business within existing customers and outside opportunities
  • Act as the internal contact for the customer
  • Prepare sales presentations and line reviews and deliver a complete package including pricing and promotions
  • Maintain and publish sales information for key accounts
  • Work collectively with assigned forecast teams by providing direct input from specific accounts, aiding in the maintenance and submission of the production forecast
  • Gather, package, and maintain all necessary new item setup information throughout the sales cycle
  • Maintain price files for assigned accounts into company system and to ensure pricing accuracy
  • Assist accounting team with receivables and disputes as needed; challenge fines associated with accounts by working with cross functional teams in efforts to expose and repair root causes 
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Develop and execute merchandising strategy with support sales teams
  • Provide direct input on the P&L for the business
  • Communicate business trends and business updates to leadership team
  • Work with business operations and be the voice of customer to the Greenworks supply chain (changes in demand, promotional orders that affect production, shipping issues, backorders, quality holds, etc)
  • Customer and rep agency goal setting; deploy annual sales and unit goals by agency, by customer, and by platform for assigned accounts
  • Channel plan development and execution; develop customer/channel plans that identify key targets and action steps required to drive new business along with the assistance in field level execution and reporting against customer/channel plans
  • Attend all channel trade shows and key customer events
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • BA in Marketing, Business or Sales Management
  • 5+ years’ proven experience in retail sales, customer service, or sales management
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of common accounting principles
  • Ability to leverage strong brands and the emotional connection with the customer
