THE ROLE:

We have an opportunity to join the Health team as a Business Director a fixed-term maternity leave contract for 12-months (with potential to extend). In this role, we will look to you to take on the leadership role of the London team, for local and additional Grey Health EMEA accounts.  You will be part of the EMEA Leadership Team and help build synergies between the EMEA offices.

You will need to be confident in managing clients and adept at developing & recommending strategies and tactics for brands within the health & pharma space, executing and evaluating account activities. As our the team's presence grows across the market, there is opportunity to identify and develop new business opportunities, whilst being accountable for all decision-making on specific account and brand issues. 

As you lead the team, you will need to bring your subject matter expertise and personal leadership style to help grow & develop your immediate reports and seek fulfillment from leading teams & projects across TANK London, UK, Grey Health Copenhagen and TANK Headquarters in Montreal, Canada based teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Management & Business Development: 

  • Become a credible partner to clients and your cross-functional team members; adding value in client team meetings.
  • Take responsible for the day to day client agency relationship. 
  • Apply senior-level experience and knowledge to grow and secure the clients’ business. 
  • Take a leadership role in the development of strategic plans, marketing plans and brand/business reviews, including challenging the client strategically. 
  • Serve as the external and internal brand ambassador, earning client trust and confidence. 
  • Advise on category and industry trends and the regulatory environment.
  • Direct the execution of account plans and activities, within designated timelines and established budgets.
  • Focus on growing the agency’s business, determine new opportunities across existing and new potential clients and develop new business opportunities within current client base. 

Key Internal Leader and Partner:  

  • Monitor the performance of projects and programs, serving as the ultimate decision-maker across all departments, including the London team and Grey Health Copenhagen team on the clients you are responsible for.
  • Manage processes through internal teams, clients and suppliers. 
  • Ensure that client mandates are successfully carried out.
  • Provide clear and timely information to any internal resources involved in projects.
  • Work in partnership with the creative, production and administrative teams. 
  • Facilitate, when necessary, mutually beneficial resolutions to internal project challenges within and across various Tank teams.

Business Management Leadership: 

  • Manage the billing while overseeing the budgeting, planning and tracking of business activities to ensure profitability on clients. 
  • Commit to continuous improvement of company policies and processes required to support business growth. 
  •  Responsible for revenue phasing/forecasting, working to anticipate issues and implement solutions accordingly for all brands.

  • Challenge the status quo to find new and better ways to work; inspire and generate new ideas from the team around you.

  • Assist in creating and building an agency culture that reinforces high levels of client service, operational excellence, commitment, respect and team spirit. 
  • Work collaboratively to ensure that work produced is consistently of the highest quality.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Demonstrable experience in Rx Pharma healthcare agency
  • Experience as Senior Account Director or Business Director within Rx Pharma
  • Excellent knowledge of the trends of the communication and marketing industries including experience working with Rx Pharma advertising codes including advertising regulatory bodies
  • Has an business development eager and skillset and desire to bring Grey Health in a strong position globally.
  • Strong strategic ability, including having led new business Rx Pharma RFI and RFPs
  • Exceptional financial acumen, strong planning & organizational skills 
  • An engaging, clear and collaborative communication style
  • Ability to work autonomously, whilst being able to delegate in timely manner to teams
  • A natural and authentic leadership style, with the ability to propose effective solutions to challenges 
  • Ability to build strong relationships and a naturally high EQ (emotional intelligence)
  • The ability to multitask and can prioritize effectively, managing a range of deadlines 
  • Desire to be an important member of business growth
