Title: Telehealth Program Manager

Reports to: Senior Director, Telehealth

Location: Remote, PST Only

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt

*Must hold an active license (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LPC) in CA, WA, CO, MA, or NC with at least 3 years post-independent practice and be willing/able to obtain additional state licenses as needed.  

Role Summary:

The Telehealth Program Manager leads Guidelight Health’s multi-state virtual programming with vision, operational excellence, and a focus on delivering an exceptional client experience. This role ensures high-quality care, compliance with all regulations, and effective business performance across virtual Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP).This individual serves as the central driver of program success: overseeing operations, guiding staff performance, maintaining compliance standards, and fostering a collaborative, mission-driven team culture. They will work closely with cross-state clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to ensure seamless care delivery, efficient use of resources, and consistent application of the “Guidelight standard” of care. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Program Oversight 

    • Support the growth and execution of multi-state virtual IOP and PHP programs. 

    • Ensure care delivery aligns with Guidelight’s clinical standards and patient-first mission. 

    • Oversee day-to-day operations across time zones, balancing clinical, operational, and administrative priorities and requirements. 

    • Build and sustain a strong virtual team culture that emphasizes accountability, inclusivity, and collaboration.  

  • Clinical Supervision 

    • Provide oversight and clinical supervision for all virtual program clinicians, ensuring adherence to Guidelight standards, treatment protocols, and best practices. 

    • Support ongoing professional development, competency assessments, and performance evaluations for virtual clinical staff. 

    • Serve as the escalation point for complex clinical cases and program-level clinical decision-making.  

  • Compliance & Quality Assurance

    • Ensure programs comply with federal, state, and payer requirements for virtual behavioral health delivery. 
    • Monitor program performance metrics (utilization, retention, client satisfaction, clinical outcomes).

    • Support preparation for audits, accreditation (e.g., CARF), and quality improvement initiatives. 

    • Partner with compliance partners to maintain documentation, licensure, and HIPAA standards.  

     

     

     

  • Financial & Operational Management 

    • Partner with leadership to establish and achieve census and program growth targets. 

    • Support the optimization of workflows and systems for scheduling, intake, and client support in a virtual environment. 

    • Collaborate with outreach and business development teams to drive referral volume.  

  • Staff Leadership & Development

    • Recruit, train, and support virtual program staff (clinical, operational, administrative). 

    • Ensure onboarding and training practices equip staff for virtual-first service delivery. 

    • Foster cross-functional collaboration between the virtual department and support teams.  

  • Client & Community Engagement 

    • Ensure clients and families experience a consistent, supportive, and accessible entry into care. 

    • Serve as a visible representative of Guidelight Health for clients, referral partners, and regulatory stakeholders. 

    • Promote client voice and cultural inclusivity in program design and delivery.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.  
  • Must reside in and be willing to work Pacific Standard Time (PST).   
  • Must hold an active license (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LPC) in CO with at least 3 years post-independent practice and be willing/able to obtain additional state licenses as needed.  
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical virtual care management or program leadership.  
  • Proven track record in visionary leadership, strategic planning, and adept team management.   
  • Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.  
  • Proficiency with virtual care platforms, EMR/CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.  
  • Strong communication skills with ability to represent Guidelight to internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion with cultural competency in leadership.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in multi-site or multi-state healthcare program leadership. 
  • Higher level-of-care clinical experience (IOP, PHP, residential, inpatient) preferred. 

 

Pay Range

$115,000 - $125,000 USD
