Senior Accountant
Guild Garage Group is currently in a search for a Senior Accountant. This position will play an active role in the month end close and financial reporting process for designated business units. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong desire to learn and implement process improvements. The ability to prioritize, efficiently plan work activities, and be detail and results oriented is critical to the position.
Responsibilities
- Ensure completion of monthly accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses and gross margin analysis.
- Prepare, analyze, and review general ledger account reconciliations as part of the month-end close process.
- Provide in- depth analysis to assist in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as state and local compliance requirements including sales tax.
- Perform accounting and financial analyses to identify key trends and support critical estimates, such as accruals and reserves.
- Collaborate cross functionally and serve as a business partner to aid in the preparation and reporting of financial results.
- Provide audit assistance- supporting information, PBC schedules, and explanations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Corporate Finance Team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Strong month-end close experience within a multi-entity business environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with a major ERP system such as Sage Intacct, Net Suite, or similar
