Director, Clinical Applications (Technology)

Role Scope:
The Director of Clinical Applications will oversee project management, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of clinical applications across the business. This includes Epic and PCO electronic medical record (EMR) systems. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of EMR systems, healthcare workflows, and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to enhance system functionality and improve patient care outcomes.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of Epic and PCO EMR systems.
- Develop and execute strategies for EMR optimization to improve clinical workflows and patient care.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards related to EMR usage.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to identify and address EMR-related issues.
- Provide training and support to staff on EMR functionalities and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze EMR performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to build a roadmap of technology needs to assess whether these can be addressed by the EMR; where they cannot, support vendor selection and project management for additional clinical tools.
- Manage clinical application -related projects, including upgrades, integrations, and customizations.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in EMR technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing EMR systems, with a focus on Epic.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and regulatory requirements.
- Proven success in working cross-functionally and collaboratively in a healthcare organization.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
Highly Desired:
- Certification in Epic EMR systems is highly desirable.
Compensation:
We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for medical/dental/vision insurance, short and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) savings, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The expected salary range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000 and is bonus-eligible. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
