Role Scope:
We are looking for a strategic-minded driver to join our collaborative, entrepreneurial team to lead Habitat’s state-based expansion strategy and execution function. Specifically, this role will:
- Own Habitat’s expansion strategy through research into state-by-state PACE regulatory landscapes, including monitoring for PACE RFPs, creating state prioritization analyses, and supporting PACE advocacy efforts
- Lead Habitat’s federal and state application processes as part of existing and new state expansion, including preparation and submission of materials, project management to ensure cross-functional collaboration on application process, and narrative writing for application responses
- Complete PACE program licensing and renewal processes, including researching licensing requirements for new states
- Identify and engage local community stakeholders to educate about PACE and seek support for PACE expansion and Habitat market entry
- Monitor and influence state and federal regulations related to PACE, including building strong relationships with key regulatory stakeholders to educate about PACE, advocating for PACE expansion, and building support for Habitat
- Operate with a high level of autonomy and accountability with an ability to navigate complex, ambiguous situations with a flexible and strategic mindset
- Drive execution of key expansion workstreams, including balancing strategic and detailed tactical projects at the same time
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of experience in Medicare and Medicaid regulatory environment, preference for PACE-specific application and licensing experience
- 2-4+ years of experience in management consulting or operations / policy role at a high-growth startup, ideally in the context of health care delivery
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter
- Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented, and skilled in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, unstructured work environment with a high degree of self-autonomy and a bias to action
- A strong passion for our mission, with a high degree of empathy for the populations we serve
- A bachelor's degree is required
Compensation:
We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, and paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $159,000 - $207,000 and is a bonus-eligible position. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
