We build engaged, fulfilled care teams to deliver personalized care in our centers and in the home. And we support our partners with scalable solutions to meet the health care needs and costs of aging populations.

Habitat Health is growing, and we’re looking for new team members who wish to join our mission of redefining aging in place. To learn more, visit https://www.habitathealth.com.

Role Scope:

  • Build scalable, fully automated, enterprise-grade reporting across Operations, Growth (Salesforce), Compliance (Epic Clarity), Health Plan (claims), Risk Adjustment (CMS and Medicaid), and Clinical Quality
  • Use SQL to answer ad-hoc data questions from internal customers, build report prototypes, and refactor prototypes into analytic pipelines with front-end interfaces that delight your end users
  • Leverage a range of reporting tools including Power BI, Epic's in-app tools (Slicer Dicer, Reporting Workbench, Radar), Salesforce reports, and Excel to support Habitat's reporting needs
  • Partner with engineering to design and develop ETL processes that establish clean Data Marts on top of our enterprise data warehouse, including standardized "business rules" layers that ensure consistent KPI reporting across downstream use cases
  • Own the quality bar for your work by designing data quality tests, leading code reviews and Git pull requests, and defining dashboard release processes / documentation standards that the rest of the team can build on
  • Develop detailed business and clinical logic including patient cohorts, quality measures, diagnosis groupers, utilization events (admissions, readmissions, ED visits, SNF stays), lookback periods, etc. to ensure KPIs are built, documented, and communicated properly
  • Build externally facing reports including PACE-specific measures, CMS / Medicaid regulatory submissions, and audit reporting in accordance with standard specifications
  • Set the technical bar for the reporting function by mentoring other analysts, codifying standards for SQL, reinforcing dashboard design / release processes, creating clean documentation, and raising the bar for everyone's work through close collaboration with analysts, engineers, end users, and SMEs

  • Highly proficient coding in SQL; experience with Git and dbt is a plus
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data ontologies including CPT, HCPCS, HCC, ICD-10, NDC, Revenue Codes, Type of Bill, LOINC, UB/HCFA claims, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Track record of working in cross-functional teams, ideally in a value-based care, PACE, or managed care environment
  • Strong attention to detail and data quality, with a mindset toward reproducibility and documentation

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Epic Workflows and Clarity reporting tools, like Slicer Dicer, Reporting Workbench, and Cogito SQL
  • Experience developing in a modern data stack using Databricks, Python, and/or Airflow
