Compensation: Up to $50k/year, plus commission

Position Summary

Harper Group is seeking a Texas-based, results-driven Sales Representative to manage and expand accounts within the TOLA region (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas) and the West Coast. This role is evenly split between inside sales (outbound calls, virtual meetings, and account management) and outside sales (traveling to retail locations, trade shows, and in-person client meetings). The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in both virtual and face-to-face sales environments, and is motivated by driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Inside Sales 

  • Conduct outbound sales calls to existing and prospective retail accounts to increase sales and strengthen relationships. 
  • Manage a portfolio of retail partners, providing personalized service and strategic sales support. 
  • Schedule and conduct virtual appointments and sales presentations with retail buyers. 
  • Identify new business opportunities and proactively reach out to potential retail partners. 
  • Provide product recommendations, promotional strategies, and merchandising support. 
  • Track and analyze sales performance using CRM tools, providing insights and growth strategies. 

Outside Sales 

  • Travel within Texas (primary focus) & the TOLA region to visit retail locations, provide merchandising support, and strengthen client relationships. 
  • Conduct in-person sessions for store associates, ensuring they are knowledgeable about product features. 
  • Ensure that visual merchandising standards are met and assist retailers with in-store displays. 
  • Attend and actively participate in major trade shows in Atlanta and Las Vegas, representing Harper Group and meeting with current and prospective retail partners. 
  • Schedule and conduct face-to-face sales appointments before and during trade shows. 
  • Participate in regional sales events, pop-ups, and retailer-hosted promotions to enhance brand presence. 
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of sales experience (inside sales, outside sales, account management, or retail sales), preferably in the gift, home décor, fashion, or accessories industry. 
  • Ability to balance inside and outside sales efforts while maintaining strong client relationships. 
  • Experience attending and selling at trade shows and industry events. 
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Must be based in Texas and willing to travel across Texas, the TOLA region, and some West Coast when needed. 
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Teams. 
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with gift, home décor, lifestyle, or fashion brands. 
  • Background in wholesale sales, merchandising, or B2B retail partnerships. 
  • Knowledge of the Texas retail landscape, as well as the broader TOLA region and West Coast.
