Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. HCEsquared® does not sponsor or assume sponsorship of employment visas.

ROLE SUMMARY

As VP, Production, you are the creative and operational force behind every way HCEsquared shows up for the dermatology community—from the energy of a packed national conference, to the focus of a regional workshop, to the polish of a virtual broadcast, to the on-demand pull of a podcast or video series. You lead an integrated production organization of three teams—Senior Event Production, Virtual Content & Events, and Digital Production—and set one unmistakable standard of quality that carries across every format and program, both CME and non-CME. Reporting to the Head of Product, you ensure that whether an HCP joins us in a ballroom, on a livestream, or through their earbuds, the experience feels unmistakably HCEsquared: expertly produced, intentionally designed, and worth coming back to. You are the leader who turns complex, multi-format production into a single, seamless ecosystem that scales without ever feeling mass-produced.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Own production across product lines, achieving >85% of initiatives delivered within approved timelines and budgets
  • Portfolio delivered in line with approved financial plans, including revenue realization and margin performance
  • Production team recruited, developed, and led to deliver consistent execution quality across all events
  • Operational readiness and execution quality maintained across all conferences, including production delivery, onsite experience, and technical performance
  • Production insights and constraints communicated proactively to inform portfolio strategy and sponsor feasibility
  • Exhibit core leadership competencies including accountability, collaboration, strategic vision, problem-solving, resilience, and humility

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, develop, and scale an integrated production organization of three teams—Senior Event Production, Virtual Content & Events, and Digital Production—coaching their leaders (Senior Director, Manager, and Senior Manager) to deliver consistent, high-quality output across every format
  • Own production strategy and delivery across the full product ecosystem—large national conferences, regional and local workshops, virtual events, CME and non-CME content programs, and digital video and podcast production—ensuring each format meets a unified standard of quality
  • Define and safeguard a consistent brand experience across all offerings, so that every touchpoint—live, virtual, or on-demand—feels unmistakably HCEsquared in look, feel, and audience experience
  • Direct production infrastructure and vendor management across formats, overseeing AV, staging, run-of-show, broadcast and streaming, studio and field video, audio and podcast production, and onsite and virtual technical delivery
  • Own production economics across the portfolio, partnering with Product, Finance, Operations, and vendors to plan, track, and control costs while supporting margin targets across live, virtual, and digital product lines
  • Establish operating rhythms, workflows, and quality standards across the three teams, ensuring reliable handoffs, shared best practices, and predictable delivery at scale
  • Partner with Product, CME, Marketing, Data & Tech, and Sales leadership as the production expert on feasibility, sponsor/funder fulfillment, and new-format development, ensuring commitments are met as sold and new products launch production-ready
  • Provide production insight, constraints, and opportunities to the Head of Product and Product Line Leaders to inform portfolio strategy, investment, and roadmap decisions across the ecosystem
  • Champion innovation in production—new formats, technologies, and workflows—that elevates the audience experience and expands how HCEsquared reaches its community

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-year degree from an accredited academic institution
  • 15+ years in live event, virtual, and digital content production, with progressive leadership across formats
  • Experience managing $40M+ event portfolios and multi-event calendars
  • Deep expertise in AV, staging, production infrastructure, and vendor management

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
