Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Communications, this role will play a crucial role in driving effective communication strategies and targeted public relations efforts to build the Heartflow brand. This role will be responsible for implementing comprehensive communication plans and developing compelling content that aligns with our business objectives and engages our target audience across various platforms.
Job Responsibilities:
∙ Strategic Communication: Implement a comprehensive communications roadmap that aligns with our business objectives, positioning Heartflow as the global leader in AI technology for coronary artery disease (CAD).
∙ Social Media: Oversee Heartflow and C-suite executive’s social media channels using a data-centric approach; integrate emerging technologies, KOL perspectives, and innovative communication approaches to enhance our communication effectiveness and engagement. Continually measure and adjust content strategies to maximize impact of channels.
∙ Healthcare Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of the healthcare industry and stakeholders to shape narratives that resonate with our partners and position us as an inspiring, leading organization.
∙ Executive Communications: Create a strong executive/C-suite voice and compelling internal/external communications to optimally position Heartflow. Partner with key leaders to develop and refine communications content.
∙ External Communications: Build, lead, and implement strategies that promote and protect Heartflow’s brand and reputation, including media relations. Work with external PR agency partner to drive communications plan and results.
∙ Internal Communications: Develop and implement internal communication strategies that foster employee engagement, alignment, and understanding during times of transformation; collaborate with HR on internal communications and change management initiatives.
∙ Investor Relations: Collaborate with and support investor relations to ensure consistent and impactful messaging to the investment community.
∙ Crisis Communication: Develop crisis communication protocols and content to proactively address potential reputational risks and effectively manage crises if they arise.
∙ Regulated Company Expertise: Support communications strategy and tactics in a highly regulated industry with knowledge of the obligations of a public company.
∙ Partnership Communication: Apply your experience in managing communications associated with business partnerships to guide the essential communication efforts associated with future growth.
Skills Needed:
∙ Strong understanding of the virtual/digital healthcare landscape and emerging trends.
∙ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
∙ Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
∙ Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media, stakeholders, and key industry influencers.
∙ Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into effective communication strategies and compelling content.
∙ Experience working with video and motion graphics is a plus.
Educational Requirements & Work Experience:
∙ Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
∙ 7+ years of proven experience in leadership roles within communications and public relations, with a minimum of 3 years in healthcare or related industries.
A reasonable estimate of the yearly base compensation range is $150,000 to $160,000, bonus, and stock options.
