Senior Technical Project Manager, Platform Engineering
Heartflow is a medical technology company advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, the #1 cause of death worldwide, using cutting-edge technology. The flagship product—an AI-driven, non-invasive cardiac test supported by the ACC/AHA Chest Pain Guidelines called the Heartflow FFRCT Analysis—provides a color-coded, 3D model of a patient’s coronary arteries indicating the impact blockages have on blood flow to the heart. Heartflow is the first AI-driven non-invasive integrated heart care solution across the CCTA pathway that helps clinicians identify stenoses in the coronary arteries (RoadMap™Analysis), assess coronary blood flow (FFRCT Analysis), and characterize and quantify coronary atherosclerosis (Plaque Analysis). Our pipeline of products is growing and so is our team; join us in helping to revolutionize precision heartcare.
Heartflow is a publicly traded company (HTFL) that has received international recognition for exceptional strides in healthcare innovation, is supported by medical societies around the world, cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan and Canada, and has been used for more than 500,000 patients worldwide.

Role Overview
As a Platform Technical Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the operational excellence, reliability, and scalability of our engineering platform. You will sit at the intersection of software engineering, compliance, and product management, ensuring that our platform teams are aligned with the broader organization’s goals.
The ideal candidate is a process-oriented leader who can manage complex release cycles, navigate rigorous compliance audits, and champion the "AI-first" evolution of our engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities

- Own the lifecycle of vendor contracts, including procurement, renewals, and budget tracking.
- Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
- Proactively identify and resolve cross-team dependencies to ensure seamless release cycles.
- Define and track release-related metrics (e.g., lead time, deployment frequency, failure rates) to quantitatively measure and improve process health.
- Maintain platform readiness for FDA audits, focusing on Design Controls, Software Validation, and the newly effective QMSR (Quality Management System Regulation) standards.
- Lead follow-ups for audits and manage the audit process for medical-grade certifications.
- Manage Jira for controlled spaces, ensuring full traceability from requirements to verification in alignment with IEC 62304.
- Execute CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and containment processes to address platform vulnerabilities or quality deviations.
- Plan and execute the rollout of platform-wide initiatives to project teams.
- Lead the integration of AI-first initiatives into the engineering workflow, staying ahead of industry trends to boost developer productivity.
- Design and perform Developer Experience surveys to gather qualitative insights and drive roadmap prioritization.
- Lead the Agile ceremony lifecycle (Sprints, Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Retrospectives) specifically tailored for Platform and Infrastructure teams.
- Translate high-level platform initiatives into actionable epics and stories, ensuring clear acceptance criteria and definition of done (DoD).
- Track team velocity and burndown metrics to provide high-confidence delivery timelines to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years as a TPM, Project Manager, or Release Manager within a platform or infrastructure engineering organization.
- Proven ability to leverage AI agents, LLMs, and low-code/no-code tools to rapidly build automation that replaces manual workflows and streamlines internal tooling.
- Deep understanding of Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and branching strategies.
- Proven experience managing audits (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.) and using tools.
- Advanced Jira Administration skills, including workflow customization and permission management.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights using process metrics and tracking tools.
- Exceptional ability to coordinate across diverse technical teams and translate platform needs into business value.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary compensation range is $140,000 to $180,000, bonus, and equity. #LI-IB1
