About the role:

We are looking for a marketing copywriter with SEO experience to join our team. The copywriter will have the opportunity to create and optimize content to advance our demand generation roadmap. This role requires a strong understanding of SEO strategies/best practices and an ability to craft compelling written assets to support Amazon and Walmart sellers on their journey to start, grow, and scale their businesses. 

The ideal candidate is an experienced writer who can deliver a compelling, solution-oriented narrative to Helium 10 target personas. A foundational knowledge of how selling on Amazon and/or Walmart works is a major plus, as is in-house experience at a SaaS or tech company. Success in this role encompasses the ability to efficiently execute content projects that showcase Helium 10 solutions to our community of Amazon and Walmart sellers.

This role reports to the Group Digital Marketing Manager and will collaborate with the Sr. Group Creative Manager, Evangelist Team, and brand copywriters.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Write and optimize compelling website content, product descriptions, blog posts, case studies, video scripts, whitepapers, landing pages, and other relevant marketing content to inspire and engage our community of Amazon and Walmart sellers.
  • Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, proper grammar, and compliance with company and industry best practices (including Amazon and Walmart seller guidelines).
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify content opportunities for Helium 10, based on insights gained from market research.
  • Learn and maintain active knowledge of Helium 10 customer personas, product offering and best practices for selling on Amazon and Walmart.
  • Possess a strong understanding of SEO marketing strategies and apply best practicesto the content. Stay updated with the latest SEO best practices, SaaS industry news, and competitors' strategies to ensure our content remains relevant and optimized.
  • Utilize SEO and digital research tools to uncover search trends, such as commonly used keywords and phrases for specific online topics, for integration into written content.
  • Implement and continue to optimize on-page SEO elements, such as metadata, schema markup, and structured data, to enhance search engine visibility.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to help develop and execute content calendars and work with the creative team to develop graphic and video assets.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, such as website visits, traffic sources, organic vs paid traffic, keyword rankings, SERP visibility, click-through rates, and bounce rates, using traffic analytics tools. Adjust content strategies as needed to enhance search rankings and drive better results.
  • Effectively communicate SEO project progress and demonstrate proficiency in interpreting traffic and keyword ranking reports to stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a copywriter, ideally with in-house experience at a B2B SaaS company and in crafting content to support Amazon and Walmart sellers in starting, growing, and scaling their businesses.
  • Experience leveraging SEO best practices, keyword research, and on-page optimization strategies.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects.
  • Ability to research and write about a variety of topics in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency with tools including WordPress, Ahrefs, SurferSEO, and Google Analytics.
