Manager of Product Engineering
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a full-stack engineering team in delivering high-quality software solutions. This role requires a balanced leader with strong technical depth and process expertise who can drive team performance while contributing to architectural decisions and strategic initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a full-stack engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while managing performance reviews and career development
- Run effective Agile/Scrum processes and ceremonies, managing work intake, backlog grooming, and sprint planning using Jira to maintain team velocity and productivity
- Participate in architectural discussions, provide input on technical design decisions, and represent the team in technical planning with accurate effort estimates and implementation approaches
- Understand and guide the team's technology stack across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure components while ensuring code quality, testing standards, and technical best practices
- Champion modern DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation to optimize development workflows
- Drive implementation of the company's AI strategies within the development process, championing adoption of AI-powered tools and identifying opportunities to leverage AI/LLM solutions
- Partner with Product Management to refine requirements and align on delivery priorities, while collaborating with other engineering teams to manage integration and dependencies
- Track and report on team metrics, delivery timelines, and key performance indicators while identifying and removing blockers to enable team success
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, cross-team collaboration, and communicate progress, risks, and blockers to leadership and stakeholders
Competencies &Critical Skills:
- Strong full-stack development background with hands-on experience across front-end, back-end, and database technologies
- Proven experience running Agile/Scrum processes and managing teams using Jira or similar tools
- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and ability to evaluate technical approaches
- Experience with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and experience implementing AI-driven solutions (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience managing effort estimation, sprint planning, and delivery commitments
Experience and Requirements:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2-3 years in engineering management or team lead roles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
