Engineering Fabrication Technician
Location: Our Norwood, MA Production Facility.
Work Hours: Monday-Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm, plus the ability to work some weekends.
Continuous Growth: Earn more with certifications in boiler, wastewater, and refrigeration. WE FOOT THE BILL FOR YOUR TRAINING!
Performance Bonuses: Introducing our Pay for Performance Bonus program, offering up to $400 per month based on company performance, up to $4800.00/yr.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The Engineering Technician/Fabricator will be responsible for the layout, fabrication, welding, and fitting of conveyors, small platforms, and industrial machine modifications. As a key member of the maintenance team, the Engineering Technician/Fabricator will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including small repairs, custom machine fabrication, and the installation of production equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed
- Fitting, welding, measuring, laying out, and inspecting parts
- Cut, fabricate, and Tig-weld stainless steel components
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment
- Ensure the working environment is clean and safe
- Follow the company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ability to verify conformance of workpieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, calipers, and measuring tapes.
- Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with Tig welding stainless steel
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in metal fabrication
- Minimum 5 years’ experience using manual milling machines and lathes
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- This position requires the ability to withstand working in a cold environment and stand for extended periods

- Availability to work weekends and overtime as necessary to complete projects and installs
- Ability to work in confined spaces for some tasks that are essential to this job
