BACKGROUND:

Due to our rapid growth, our success is directly dependent on attracting and retaining the best possible talent across our teams. To this end, we are seeking a strong Sr. National Account Manager for C-Stores. This role will be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area from your home office.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

The Sr. National Account Manager, C-Store, is responsible for a group of key Home Market Foods national C-Store accounts and channel distributors.  The Sr. National Account Manager is responsible for the growth and development of a specific group of customers in the greater Texas market and will be accountable for attaining revenue and profitability targets through collaborative relationships built on the exchange of category and product information, consumer insights, and profitability.  The position will be charged with fully understanding the customers’ needs in marketing, support, new product development, as well as operations and category performance.  The Sr. National Account Manager will author the selling strategy and tactical plans for the accounts.  Success in the role requires strong communication, marketing, and analytical skills, along with a demonstrated ability to handle complex negotiations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee business development and sales growth within a group of national accounts
  • Understand customer strategies and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout customer organizations
  • Negotiate pricing, promotion, and agreements with assigned customers
  • Develop impactful professional cross-functional relationships at all levels of the HMF organization
  • Develop a strong broker network alignment and performance
  • Responsible for lead development, execution, and delivering results of marketing plans for primary accounts
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and apply best practices
  • Help identify, test, and develop future products and packaging
  • Provide routine performance reporting, channel, and account analyses
  • Effectively manage all trade and budgets
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or graduate studies in business, marketing, or related field desired
  • Substantial selling experience, preferably at the national account level, 5+ years of large chain management experience
  • Retailer and Wholesaler account management experience in the C-Store channel preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and CRM skills required

  • Ability to work for prolonged periods at trade shows and retail market visits
  • Able to sit /stand for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
