Staff Accountant

What you’ll do in the role:
- Manage the AP function, including processing accounts payable transactions, responding to vendor inquiries, and vendor onboarding.
- Enter and/or review all vendor bills to ensure proper general ledger and department coding and internal approvals in our accounting systems.
- Review and approve employee expense reports ensuring expenses are following T&E policy.
- Manage AR function, including invoicing customers, responding to customer inquiries, and overseeing collections process.
- Play an essential role in the month-end and quarter-end close processes by preparing journal entries and supporting reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses and fixed assets.
- Analyze fluctuations in the Company's balance sheet and income statement and present explanations for fluctuations and material variances.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close activities.
- Participate in system implementations.
- Assist in preparation for company’s financial statement audit.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects, as needed.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- BS in Finance or Accounting
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting and accounts payable
- NetSuite experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, general ledger structure and financial statement preparation and analysis
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Highly self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for working with others
Pluses, but not required:
- Experience in SaaS and/or a start up environment
- Experience with Navan, Airbase, Avalara, and Salesforce
- Experience with multi-subsidiaries and global accounting
Base Salary based on level of experience
$83,500 - $98,500 USD
