Sr Project Manager - Data
The Senior Project Manager leads multiple complex data initiatives, ensuring delivery aligns with organizational technology standards, business objectives, and user requirements. Operating with limited supervision, this role is responsible for planning, execution, and oversight of projects across data platforms, analytics, and reporting solutions.
This role partners closely with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions that support enterprise reporting and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the successful execution of multiple large-scale projects
- Ensure all IT solutions and services meet company standards and user requirements
- Define and clarify project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules
- Establish and monitor project budgets
- Identify, document, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies
- Determine project team structure, roles, and responsibilities
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams
- Coordinate activities across multiple organizational functions
- Assign work and ensure deliverables are completed according to plan
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status reports
- Communicate effectively with project sponsors, stakeholders, and senior leadership
- Ensure consistent project reporting and governance standards are met
Data Platforms & Analytics Delivery
- Oversee delivery of data warehousing, BI, and analytics initiatives aligned with business reporting and insight needs
- Drive timelines, dependencies, and communication across data engineering, analytics, and business teams
- Ensure data governance, quality, and consistency across systems and reporting layers
- Support the implementation and enhancement of enterprise data platforms within Azure and related ecosystems
- Partner with technical teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact for project sponsors and senior leadership
- Foster strong relationships across all lines of business
- Provide guidance and direction to team members and stakeholders
- Drive accountability and performance within project teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 4+ years of project management experience
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience working across cross-functional teams
- Certification in Project/Program Management preferred (e.g., PMP, CAPM)
Pay Range
- $89,800.00 - $125,500.00
Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
