Creator Partnerships Director

About Howl

Howl is the creator platform for social commerce. We build tools for brands and creators to sell more products across every social platform, together.

In the last 10 years, the $20bn influencer ecommerce market has become a critical part of the retail industry.  It has evolved into social commerce, a new $1.2 trillion market opportunity (link) requiring new tools, protocols, and technologies.

Howl enables creators and brands to run experiments on what products to talk about and how best to talk about them. Paired with data delivered at the speed of social, creator financing for products, and feedback loops delivered in a beautifully designed platform, Howl takes the guesswork out of selling products on social platforms.

Howl’s mission is to reduce barriers for creators and brands to build social commerce businesses.  We are a remote-first company with a diverse team that reflects our vision. Our beta launched in mid 2022 and powers social commerce for creators and brands across beauty, gaming, home, fashion, and consumer electronics for both industry leaders like Best Buy, Samsung, Target and cult favorites like Cariuma, Kosas, and Youth to the People. We are a Series A company backed by investors including HighlandX and NEA.

About the Role

Creator Growth and Retention is pivotal to Howl’s sustained growth trajectory. As the Creator Partnerships Director for the Lifestyle, Beauty and Fashion guild, you’ll be leading the strategy and execution, driving incremental business with enterprise creators that require high touch relationship management to experience continued growth and evolution within the creator ecosystem. These partners are already top earners and experts in commerce, driving sales for our brand partners (which includes retailers like Sephora, Ulta, Nike and dozens of leading beauty and fashion brands).

As a senior contributor, you’ll work across teams and departments to help accelerate the growth of top creators, design strategies for retention, loyalty and continued engagement, in addition to driving business development tactics that propel creators at every lifecycle. You are the right fit if you have the hunger to make an outsized impact and have a strong track record of growth based performance. You see ambiguity and obstacles as opportunities to build something new. You take full ownership of initiatives and are proactive about capturing new opportunities. You are an innovative and outside the box thinker, willing to suggest and try new things.

You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will:

  • Design a creator acceleration and retention strategy to help drive business OKRs and propel enterprise creator growth across the lifestyle category
  • Own performance of a book of business, ensuring top partners are growing year over year as aligned to company wide revenue forecast and OKRs.
  • Operate against a revenue number, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to achieve goals (such as structuring projects and identifying blockers, adapting playbooks/templates, originating written communications, assessing and communicating risk)
  • Run an end-cycle sales process with responsibility for engaging, maintaining, and growing a portfolio of creators
  • Partner with the most lucrative content creators in educating them about product marketing and monetizing their content in a decentralized way
  • Deliver business plans, provide insightful technical answers, and recommend creative ways for creators to maximize on the Howl platform
  • Work with our product and growth teams by providing creator feedback to enhance platform functionality across features and build outs of new products
  • Lead creator insights to enhance Howl’s marketplace differentiators and transform business lanes that promote creator success
  • Collaborate on the execution of flat fee strategies, partner directly with the Brand Partnerships team and make improvements to the current process
  • This isn't the typical sales / growth role, as you'll be collaborating cross-functionally and providing insight on new go-to-market strategy, working on playbooks and experimenting a ton!

We’re Excited About You Because:

  • Full cycle sales experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the creator/affiliate space
  • Have experience working with fashion and lifestyle creators (and an active network!)
  • Demonstrated expertise in brand partnerships
  • Experience selling with a consultative approach to meet the needs of enterprise creators
  • Track record of success as it relates to growth marketing
  • A passion for beauty, skincare, and fashion brands
  • Knowledge of top creators across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and senior stakeholders

The base salary range for this role is $125,000-$140,000 USD.

At Howl, we offer a competitive compensation package inclusive of base salary, incentive pay and stock options. Incentive awards are allocated based on individual performance. Certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

Howl is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or veteran status.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
