Product Manager - Fan Team

Remote - Phoenix, AZ

Building a team starts with valuing the team. We hire the best of the best to ensure you’re working with people you can constantly learn from. You’re trusted to get your work done your way while testing the limits of what’s possible and what’s next. We work hard to provide a culture where everyone feels supported, and our employees feel it—their votes helped us become one of Newsweek's Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces in 2023.

We also value sports. Not just because of the big wins and highlight-worthy plays, but because of the lasting impact sports can have: the lifelong lessons in teamwork and dedication; the influence of inspiring mentors; the priceless opportunities to play at the next level. Sports can change lives—that’s what we value.

Our team helps the world see sports differently through products that make it easier to capture video, analyze data, share highlights and do a lot more.

Your Role

We’re seeking a creative and dynamic Product Manager to lead the charge in crafting a world-class fan experience. This role is pivotal in connecting sports fans with the teams, athletes and moments they love. You will focus on creating a sticky, engaging and user-friendly fan platform that builds loyalty and fosters a vibrant community.

As a Product Manager, you’ll:

  • Own the roadmap. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to create a product strategy and vision that drives fan engagement, aligns with Hudl’s broader company strategy, and maximizes the value of the fan platform.
  • Advocate for our fans and define success. You’ll develop a deep understanding of fans’ needs and our business goals. You’ll become the voice of the fan, ensuring that we’re delivering exceptional value for our users.
  • Drive transformation. Through collaboration, you’ll help challenge the status quo to ensure we’re delivering best-in-class fan experiences. You’ll lead your squad in making thoughtful decisions that balance cost, timeline and user benefit.
  • Deliver winning products. You’ll work with Marketing, Sales and Customer Success teams to define what success looks like and execute go-to-market strategies that amplify the impact of our fan platform.

We'd like to hire someone for this role who lives near our offices in Lincoln, Omaha or Lexington, but we're also open to remote candidates in Kansas City, Chicago, Austin, Dallas or Phoenix.

Must-Haves

  • Experience. You’ve spent more than three years in product management, working on customer-facing web and mobile products
  • Fan-centric mindset. You have a passion for creating experiences that resonate with fans, and a deep understanding of the drivers of user engagement and retention.
  • Technical skills. You’re able to collaborate effectively with Engineering teams to prioritize and deliver features across multiple platforms.
  • Analytical. You know how to define and implement engagement metrics (e.g., DAU/MAU, feature engagement and stickiness, user retention, LTV) to make informed decisions. Setting and tracking KPIs is standard practice for you.
  • Cross-functional leadership. You can work across teams and rally stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Innovation. You’re a creative thinker with a knack for identifying new opportunities to delight users.
  • Communication. You can articulate complex ideas verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Industry experience: One (or more) of your previous roles was in fan engagement, media or community-focused platforms.
  • Trend awareness. You pay attention to what’s happening in the sports world. You’re able to adapt to market/tech trends when needed, and can guide your teams to do the same.
  • GTM expertise. You have a proven track record of managing a product portfolio focused on driving annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Pricing and packaging familiarity. You have experience working on monetization strategies such as subscription models, advertising-supported platforms, and/or strategies in fan engagement or media contexts.

Our Role

  • Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
  • Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
  • Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
  • Cover your medical insurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you’ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
  • Contribute to your 401(K). Yep, that’s free money. We’ll match up to 4% of your own contribution.
