Elite Account Executive

Lincoln, NE

At Hudl, we build great teams. We hire the best of the best to ensure you’re working with people you can constantly learn from. You’re trusted to get your work done your way while testing the limits of what’s possible and what’s next. We work hard to provide a culture where everyone feels supported, and our employees feel it—their votes helped us become one of Newsweek's Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces.

We think of ourselves as the team behind the team, supporting the lifelong impact sports can have: the lessons in teamwork and dedication; the influence of inspiring coaches; and the opportunities to reach new heights. That’s why we help teams from all over the world see their game differently. Our products make it easier for coaches and athletes at any level to capture video, analyze data, share highlights and more.

Your Role

We’re looking for an Account Executive to focus on new revenue generation in the North American global football (aka soccer) market, with a specific focus on NCAA DI men’s and women’s soccer programs.

At Hudl, we pair Account Executives (who focus on growing acquisition revenue) with Customer Success Managers (who focus on engagement, implementation, and renewal revenue). This helps us ensure we're expanding across all product verticals and locations, and we’re supporting customers' journeys with Hudl.

To succeed, you’ll:

  • Own a sales cycle. You’ll collaborate with head coaches, assistant coaches, video coordinators and conference administrators to ensure that their schools and teams have what they need.
  • Close sales on the phone and through online demos. We believe the more calls and demos you make, the more sales you make.
  • Get to know your customers. Whether it’s working directly with NCAA DI programs or learning from professional global football programs and federations, you’ll know how every team’s workflow can benefit from video analysis.
  • Travel. You'll occasionally visit your territory to meet prospective customers on the front lines (which is one of our company values).

This role requires three days in our Lincoln, Nebraska headquarters per week, so we're only considering candidates who live within a commuting distance at this time.

Must-Haves

  • NCAA soccer expert. You know all about high-performance workflows and their application in NCAA DI programs, especially around team performance (coaching and analysis) and player recruitment (scouting).
  • Proven sales success. You’ve spent at least two years in business-to-business sales and have a strong track record of meeting and exceeding personal quotas selling technology solutions.
  • Organized. You have experience managing a large portfolio of clients and are adept at strategic territory planning and prospect management.
  • Motivated. You’re excited by the prospect of owning a portfolio of Division I accounts in North America. You love to beat your own records, expect the best from yourself, and always want to keep improving.
  • A growth mindset. You’re continuously learning—you’re someone who appreciates challenging situations because you know they’ll help you grow.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experienced with Hudl. You’ve been hands-on with the Pro Suite, including Wyscout, Hudl and Hudl Sportscode.
  • Solution-oriented. You don’t shy away from a challenge and have a track record of working cross-functionally to deliver business outcomes.
  • Familiar with our tech stack. We use Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong and the Google Suite to power our front-line operations and scale our sales efforts. Experience with these, or similar tools, is a plus.

Our Role

  • Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
  • Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
  • Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
  • Cover your medical insurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you’ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
  • Contribute to your 401(K). Yep, that’s free money. We’ll match up to 4% of your own contribution.

Compensation

The base salary range and on-target earnings (OTE) for this role are displayed below. Typically, the total compensation will fall within the middle of the OTE band.

Our compensation decisions are based on an individual's experience, skills and education in line with our internal pay equity practices.

Final compensation will depend on your performance against quotas outlined in your Individual Sales Plan (ISP) upon hire.

$50,000 - $67,000 USD
