Your Role
We're looking for a QA Engineer II to join our product team in Mumbai. ou'll be improving the operations of our internal team of sports analysts covering Ice Hockey, Football, Basketball, American Football, and Volleyball. You will work across our Hudl Assist, Wyscout, Instat, and Volleymetrics products, which are used by thousands of teams around the world, from youth clubs to professional organizations.
As a QA Engineer, you'll:
- Think like a user. Everyone at Hudl is expected to interact with our users. You'll use this customer understanding to create effective test strategies and plans.
- Automate. You'll use your knowledge and skills to assess what to automate, then use design service and automation tooling to ensure appropriate coverage across the testing pyramid.
- Evaluate. You'll find the root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions to address them.
- Ship. You'll test, talk with users, evaluate trends, and deploy code on a frequent basis.
This role requires four days in the office per week, so we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in Mumbai.
Must-Haves
- A focus on quality. You understand the big picture and strive to use what you know to improve quality and velocity.
- Technical know-how. You have in-depth experience (3-4 years) with testing desktop, web, and/or mobile applications. You have deep knowledge of automation with tools such as Playwright and Selenium, and you've worked with developers and QA to shift testing left in previous roles.
- Customer driven. You think critically about the user experience and want to do what you can to improve their workflows.
Nice to Haves
- Experience working with cross-cultural remote teams. Our product team is currently spread across the U.S. and Europe, and remote collaboration skills will be part of the job.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is displayed below—starting salaries will typically fall near the middle of this range.
We make compensation decisions based on an individual's experience, skills and education in line with our internal pay equity practices.
Base Salary Range
₹1,500,000 - ₹2,100,000 INR
